In entry slots please check of any foreign object droped inside(like pins-small pieces of torn paper)-check also proper actuation of paper detecting micro switches and its lever(not broken)-move the lever with your hand and confirm it is move freely motion-and make cleaning to this area with air cleaner or soft tissue cloths.

Work Center Pro 575 always gets paper jams

If a document jam occurs during a transmission, the message "DOCUMENT JAM" is displayed. If this occurs, follow the procedure below. It is recommended that a duplicate from a copier, of the jammed document be used to reduce the chance of a jam when resending the document.
See Chapter 3, "Loading Documents" for document specifications and recommendations which may help avoid paper jams.
Note: The power can be left ON when clearing a paper jam.
Typical Causes of Document Jams
Recommended Procedure
The document is fed at an angle.
Adjust the Document Guides to the edges of the
document.
The document paper is too thin or too thick.
Make a duplicate using a copier and use the copy
as the sending document.
Document has tape or pieces of paper taped to it.
Remove the tape or make a duplicate using a copier and use the copy as the sending document.
The Control Panel Cover is not fully closed.
Close the Control Panel Cover fully.
The document is stapled. Remove the staple(s), or make a duplicate using a copier and use the copy as the sending document.

2. Open the Control Panel Cover.
3. Remove the document jam. Remove any pieces of paper, paper clips, or staples that may have caused the jam.

My Canon MP530 indicates that I have a paper jam. There is no paper jam - I have checked and re-checked and turned it off and on several times and it is still reading that there is a paper jam. How do I...

Hello there You may not see a paper jam.
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Paper jams when using the ADF. Canon IC D780

Hi there,

When using ADF
Note:
* Set a document on the Platen Glass if you want to scan it at optimum quality,
* The area (range) within 0.08"/2mm from the top edge if document cannot be printed since the machine cannot scan it.
*Do not load the following types of documents in the ADF. They will jam.
-Wrinkled or creased paper
- Curled paper
- Torn paper
- Paper with holes
- Carbon paper or carbon-backed paper
- Surface treated paper
- Onion skin or thin paper
- Photogragh or thick paper.
1) Remove any documents from the PLaten Glass.
2) Open the Document Tray.
3) Load the document in the ADF.
Load the document with the side you want to copy, or scan face up in the ADF.
4) Adjust the Doument Guides to match the document width.
Note :
Ensure that the edge of the document stack is in line with the Paper Size Mark imprinted on the Document Tray.

Hope this helps.
Please rate my response.
Thanks
Have a good day.

Document, Jam???

Hey I figured it out. On the top where you insert paper into the automatic document feeder you will notice a small switch. When paper is set in the tray the switch is pressed down. I noticed on mine that the switch had become stuck down. I just used a small push-pin and popped it up. Error message went away.

After I plug in power cord and telephone cord of fax machine to use it, dispaly starts flashing numbers, often going back and forth between 2 numbers, like 19 and 20 or 20 and 21, etc. I have never se machine get dial tone insert item to be faxed, and finally enter fax #, I hear the tones of the #'s I enter over the dial tone which continues and machine does NOT "dial" or make the call. The other odd and new thing since my last successful use of fax machine a few weeks ago after which it was unplugged and put away (standard for me as an infrequent fax user), is that now the display shows alternating numbers such as 20and 21. Later it may be 24 and 25. No information in manual regarding this. SInce the last fax use was to receive a lengthy fax while machine was unattended and I ran out of paper, then replaced paper and got rest of fax, I wondered if that event had triggered this and if there was some memory issue. Again, machine ahd been unplugged after that seemingly successful fax use. I did check memory now and found it to be 0.0& which is to be expected since machine was unplugged . And I do think that I got all the pages of that fax froma few weeks ago. Any ideas for the sudden change? Has not been dropped. Also did find that machine had set itself to pulse dialing although it has always previously been on tone which is its factory setting. So I have manually reset it to tone.Again this is mentioned as another oddity in association with current fax machine dysfunction. Any ideas anyone? Thank you!!!
