How do I charge the battery for this L200 camera? My daughter received this camera for Christmas, and I can't find anywhere the instructions for how to charge it! Please help! Thanks! Hollye F.

check your warranty

It may be the battery has failed or isn't charging, have you charged it? Try taking out the battery and connecting to usb, does that change things? If so you should charge or replace the battery.

No you cannot use USB to charge camera, as it doesn't support USB charging.

Make sure the camera is off while charging. Most cameras batteries are charged with an external charger.

But yes when charging it will a red or orange colour then once finished will be green

it should be off...and if this will be the first time you're going to charge it, you should charge it for 8 hours straight

You should have a USB cable that came with the camera, There should also have been a USB to AC adapter, you plug the adapter into the wall, and plug the USB cable into the adapter and the camera. You can also charge your camera by hooking it up to the computer it will charge the battery via the USB cable.

My daughter was SO SO excited when she received Hannah Montana Disney Pix Digital camera from christmas she cried. She cried MORE when she took her first picture and didn't see anything on the display screen it was completely blue! NOTHING! $40.00 down the darn drain and my daughter feelings crushed on Christmas. I couldn't afford to purchase her anything else. Called support that 1-888-800-0507 something like that,,,,,it took me twenty-one minutes to tell me to return it. WHAT! They said its a defect! WHAT! When I returned the camera they didn't HAVE any, now she is really UPSET!

I called 1-800-samsung, and they sent me a new battery. After the problem insisted, they asked me to ship the camera back to them (still under warranty). The concluded that the cable was defective, and they shipped me a new one within 1 week. That was fast!!!

You do need to charge the camera by putting it in the camera dock and the ac cord should be plugged into the camera dock. It is possible that the battery has gone bad so you could try getting a new battery. If neither of these options work I would have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. Daughter received camera as Christmas gift. Camera beeps three times and does nothing. I guess this camera is only good until the warranty runs out, 90 days. We have tried several new batteries and the expensive rechargeable type also. VERY UNHAPPY!!!!!
