hello this is rico, you have bad convergence problem. you need to replace them, open the back of the tv, find the stks ics and bad fuses, there is 2 bad fuses around the stk, and look for cold solder on the board. thats the only way oyu gonna get rid of it. stk392-110 something like it. you gonna need a gun solder, solder, chawick, heat compound (thermal paste) 2 stks, 2 6.8 ohms or above. if need more help, call me i will guide you, step by step. 602-810-7149.

Have you check the sleep timer? It could be possible reason why your tv shut off every 30mins. bc the timer was set.

Picture goes out, but have sound.

May have cold solder joints-Broken joints -on the connectors on the deflection yokes on one or more crts.THis is the connector that the cables from the main chassis to the yokes plug in .They get cold joints that lose connection when they heat up on some Mitsubishi sets. Also may be bad solder joints on the vertical output IC on the deflection board.

T.v. will distort in the corners

There is probably some cold solder connections on the circuit board, or with some of the connectors that are working with the pin correction and or convergence circuits.

An experienced TV service man should be able to service this for you. These types of faults can be time consuming to locate and service.

Considering that the set is 8 years old, I would be seriously looking at a new set! As the set ages its reliability will decrease. Investing money to service it does not mean there will not be other problems with it.

check for cold solder joints on the yoke connector located behind the speaker grill and mounted on the crts. You may also want to check for cold solder on the vertical output i.c.

Mitsubishi VS-60707 60 in. Rear Projection Television

When it gets better after warm up it can be a capacitor in the 160 Volt high voltage circuit or a cold solder joint. these 2 thinks would be my best guess on this set.

I had a similiar problem. My screen would shrink in then expand. After a few months of doing this it just broke altogether. No sound or video.  Its not fixed.
