Generic problem for all Dishwashers

used wrong soap in dishwasher now it just hums but doesn't wash or fill with water or get hot just doesn't work

Turn on dishwasher and before the door is closed the pump starts running. Close the door and the pump continues to run but does not start washing. Kept running for 3 hours, never washed.
