First off don't format that card or take anymore pictures on top of what you have. If you were attempting to download from the camera to the PC/Mac the computer may not have recognized the camera. Can you still see the pictures on the camera in playback or preview mode? If so then the pictures are there. You should purchase a Memory card reader, remove the memory card from the camera plug the reader into a USB port and then put the memory card into the reader. Your computer will see this as an external mass storage device and possibly (depending on your operating software) put a Hard Drive icon on your desk top. Opening this hard drive will reveal your pictures. Going back to the camera and playback or view image mode if you don't see the pictures I'd suggest (not knowing where you are) you could go into a place that does digital printing and ask them to insert your card in a machine and it will open the files for you these then can be burned to a CD and then put in your computer to view.
instead go to another computer that supports SD memory and CDRW. insert into that computer and then take all the PICS, save into that computer. now take a blank CD and take the saved PICs and burn into CD.
Also, to ensure you dont lose these pictures (PICs) you may want to buy a 4G or 8G USB thumb drive (about $10-$15 or less) -- drag and drop all the PICs (saved on that computer) into the USB thumb drive. Now you have on CD and USB drive.
Dear 1st of all run the chkdsk utlility to scan the memory card problem like go to run and type cmd then write chkdsk and with space write the Memory card Drive like memory card is d drive
chkdsk/f d:
this will correct the error of your memory cards if still no pictures seen then please run the picture recovery softwares tested link is given as below
hi if you place the memory card into slot of your pc or laptop and follow the instructions on screen or take to your nearest chemist they will be able to put your pics on to a disk for you when you have saved ther pics to either your pc or disk you can then delete the pics
Note- this software is works only with windows operating system so, connect your Memory Card, Phone, HDD or any other Storage Device to computer to recover data.

Ok, there are two options I'd suggest here. First option is to get a card reader, and copy the files onto a memory card this way. With many cameras it's possible to use the camera as a card reader, but many Canons don't support this function.
The alternative is to burn the pictures onto CD. Most photo labs will print images from CDs for you.
