Question about HP Compaq Presario SR1820NX (ER919AA) PC Desktop
I have a Compaq Presario SR1820NX Desktop. After a power outage/surge it seems I can no longer connect to the internet. I thought it was the modem but I can plug the ethernet cable into my old laptop and it works fine. Could it be that my ethernet port got fried? The light next to it no longer comes on when I connect the computer to the modem. I've tried everything Compaq has suggested with enabling networks etc...
Very well could have toasted you network card. If everything else works, try installing a different one (and drivers) that is known to work. MM85
