Well, a few months ago I bought a Philips SA5115/02. He worked for a few weeks. But then I tried to put music on it the computer got Bluescreen of death. And my mp3 player was still plugged in! I tried to get him on but he stays off. And when I plug him into my pc he says after a while it's a MTP device. NO, it's an Philips SA5115/02. So I think the firmware is broken. Does somebody know a way to fix it. I don't care if I have to get it open. But if I have to then please tell me how to get it open. And if their are ways to let my pc detect the player agian then please tell me. Please help me!
First, grab the Vista-compatible version of the software from Philips website
Then: Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off,
hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer
while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button
for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into
recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says
Found New Hardware Wizard.
