Power problem (by 2 users)

when conecting the power directly trough the ac adaptor, the red light is blinking 18 times (18 sec) and than the power turn off.
the battery is not o.k

the battery charger is working thebattery is dead and can't be charged and the cam is dead plug directely to the ac and no red light (for ON)
