As I have informed FixYa previously I never got a solution to try because the session with BubbaBear64 ended abruptly. I do not want my credit card charged unless I get a solution that works. Thank you.

I only put inappropriate because I didn't know what other response to put. I absolutely realize it wasn't your fault. I didn't find any solution on the thread, only a description of page 8 of the manual. I don't know if that's the solution you were talking about.

I know. It came up with a messsage telling me someone else took the call. I think they made some software changes and it isn't working properly. I did leave a solution on your thread about the problem. Let me know if that helps.

You can credit the support session call so you don't have to pay for it. If they ask me about it I'll tell them that I was kicked out and told the call was being handled by someone else. Thats what the window said.

I reported it to tech support already.

Your credit card won't be charged if you report it as not being solved. I went ahead and reported it as well. Between you and I reporting it, it will be a freebie.

Please change this red mark for me. This hurts my score. Besides that it wasn't my fault.

Did the solution I gave you in the thread worked?

This red mark is fine. With the red mark you wont get charged. Everything should be taken care of.

That's fine. I didn't get dinged for it after all.

I think that was the solution I came up with was from page 8 in the manual. It was posted on another thread.

You have to "close session" on the disk before it will play anywhere else but the camera. Same goes for a CD or DVD you make on your PC. It will play on your PC ok but not on any other player

You can puschase the NERO program that sometimes works with most disks. The program costs around 75 dollars. Or you can Simply go to a store that sells this model camera or one that uses the disc and simply ask to try out one of the models and finalize it there, I was trying to explain a few other options in our live session before you aborted it after waiting on me to look up the possible solutions for over half an hour. I do apologise that you are unhappy about the live chat support fees.

I recorded a video in my sony handycam dvd and its haf recorded.now it is showing a msg that do u want to make it recordable.i want to keep the previously recorded video and continue recording.what do i do...

The possibility of this varies from handycam to handycam but it is most likely related to the type of disk you are using.some disks can only record one session. it is important to read the instructions that came with the disk.generally disks marked 'DVD-R' can only record one session whereas disks marked DVD-RW can record several sessions and can even be erased and recorded on again as new.
pse reply if this helps you

Can I transfer videotape movies onto DVD media using the Hitachi DVD-Camcorder?

Yes, and it is highly recommended to do so. Hitachi’s DVD-Camcorder has an advanced analogto-digital conversion system. By using the analog Audio/Video input on the camcorder, the tape based information is converted into digital data and is then recorded onto the DVD disc. See manual instructions for switching input from Camera to Line-In.
