Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

This is a common problem with many machines and I suspect that the detergent drawer needs a thorough clean!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Remove the complete drawer. To do this you will have to do one of the following-

  • push down the lip/catch at the middle rear and pull the drawer out (that's how our Bosch one is removed)
  • release the catch underneath or
  • lift upwards on the tray as it is coming out to clear the lip underneath.
One of these should enable you remove it
(I am having to guess some of the following!)
Once out identify which tray is for the conditioner- the others are simply 'chutes' and open-ended.
It will normally have some sort of cover on it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. This is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.
I hope this is your problem and solution!
Good luck,
John C

LG top loader. Why are there black spec(k)s on my laundry after washing?

It is caused by mold being in your washing machine.Pour 1 cup or more of chlorine bleach into the drum in your washing machine and depending on the size of the washing machine and add 1/2 cup of liquid chlorine bleach into the detergent compartment of the dispenser drawer and fill the bleach dispenser compartment with chlorine bleach up to the highest level. Start the washer and let it do a full complete washing cycle.

Lg front load washer door hinges are difficult to operate would this cause water on wash cycle to spill from bottom of door

If your getting water coming out. Your pump is not working or is clogged with a coin check the hose. And have a shop vac ready to suck up the water. The door has a lock and should not open on front loaders till the cycle is complete and water is drained

Hi, I have a LG Tromm WD-14331AD. At the start of the wash cycle, water will dispense, but not a lot. When spinning, there is hardly any water in the drum and water just stops dispensing.

A front loader only uses a very small amt of water. That's the point of front loaders. Make sure u only use a very small amt of detergent also. And use white vinegar in place of fabric softener. If washer is slow to fill you can check the filters in the supply lines. Take the water lines off the back of the washer and check the filters in the washer

The washing machine will not drain.

If you haven't cleaned the filter for a long time, there is a good chance that it is blocked up with junk that limits the system from draining properly. Also, these front loaders use HE detergent and had been filling the detergent cup up to the mark but you because these use very little water during the wash cycle I was advised to use only a few drops..

I have the kenmore HE2 front loader. when you turn it on now water comes pouring out of the detergent filling compartment and flooded the house... any ideas

there is a water inlet on the right side of the detergent filling cup to flush out the dry detergent. take out the fill and it is midway back on the right(little rubber hose) once you locate that take the top panel off and follow the hose, should lead to a silinoid. this is most likely sticking open, or the line is broken and dumping water into the washer cavity instead of in the detergent cup. hope that gets you started in the right direction.

Lg tromm front loader washing machine display panel reading l-E.

error code 'IE' means water does not enter the detergent drawer..if your water is hard or contains traces of lime deposits, the water inlet filter may become clogged..regular cleaning is suggested..clean the filter using hard bristle brush..

note: hard water is the one not undergone any treatment..in other words it is directly from the ground through your water pump and to the washer.

Washer smells bad

Whirlpool and Tide make a cleaner that you put into the washer and run it through a cycle. Front loaders get a build-up that cannot be cleaned by hand. Make sure you are using a detergent that is marked "HE". Do not overfill the detergent or softener cups. I've heard that other used a lot of bleach in a wash cycle to clear out the smell. Bleach is bad to use if you're on a septic system, though.

Whirlpool front loader WF665/1 spilling water during cycle. Water is leaking from where the powder is deposited into the machine during the filling stage of the washing cycle. The machine will continue its...

that means that the water is leaking from the hows at the back of the detergent drawer.

This is not a difficult fix, however the washing machine must be taken apart to access the detergent hose and find the leak.

Always better to call a technician.
