Question about SharpVision XV-ZW99U Multimedia Projector

1 Answer

During play, entire unit went off and will not turn on. No lights, nothing

Xv-zw99u projector. No picture, no lights, nothing. Checked all power sources to the projector to include home fuse box and everything is ok to the projector.

I cannot find my manual. Is there a fuse that may have blown? Or is it something major?

There is a bimetal circuit breaker on the lamp housing that will cut the power if it gets too hot. it needs to be reset, but you have to remove the top to get to it.

Just changed the lamp in our Sharp DLP Projector, lamp indicator

You don't mention whether the power light is on as well. IF you are seeing red lights for both power and lamp, there is a problem with the circuitry, beyond just the lamp. unfortunately this is very common. The unit will likely need a new ballast circuit.

Two red lights are illuminated on the unit and it won't play

Check the air filters. Sometimes if they are dirty, they will stop the airflow to the projector and it will not turn on because it keeps overheating.

Won't power up

I had the same problem after I replaced my lamp. You need to hold down the:

Down Arrow
Right Arrow

simultaneously - this resets the lamp counter. After I did that my projector fired right back up.
