Whatever operation you're trying to do or mode you're trying to set is not allowed in macro mode. To switch the camera out of macro mode, slide the switch on the left side of the camera (as viewed from the back) away from the flower icon and toward the mountain icon.

Hi, I purchased a Vivicam 7024 and I can't install the CD to install the Vivitar Experience -- it tells me I'm not on the internet, which, of course, I am. I went to Properties on the CD and got a long...

It may actually be Vivitar that aren't on the internet just now. I have used their site many times for finding camera details for people asking questions in FixYa, but in the last few days I have been unable to get to the pages about individual cameras. I just get "Coming soon" or "Not listed". I suppose they may be revamping their website, but in any case, your difficulty in connecting is apparently at their end.

How do you make video with Vivitar ViviCam X327 Digital Camera?

Press the Mode button to get to the Video mode, marked by a movie camera. Press the shutter release button to begin recording, press it again to stop. Full details are in the "Video Mode" section of the manual, beginning on page 27.

If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at

You can't use the flash in macro mode. Macro mode is for taking pictures of objects close to the camera.

Vivitar ViviCam V8300 Digital camera the flash does not work! I have tried the menu in all flash modes, but still does not work, I believe the flash tube must be "blown", if this is so, can this...

I think it can be replaced.I don't know anything about the cost, but it shouldn't be that expensive, though. If you can fing a similar broken camera ..you could remove the flash from it and try and fix it to your camera. Cheers!
