Panasonic CT 32SC14J 32" TV Flickering Problem

Hi all-

I'm having a weird problem with this television. I bought this TV set used and when I did saw the picture on cable at the seller's home; it was splendid. Brought it home and hooked it up to Dish Network and now I'm having a flickering issue, the picture has a whit flicker every few seconds no matter what I use as an input... I've tried both s-video and component, same flickering problem. The set has three different video inputs and I've tried all three, same problem. Ordered a very pricey s-video cable, tried that as my hookup but it didn't change a thing.

I also have this TV hooked to a DVD player via component; here's the thing... NO flicker, the picture is wonderful for a CRT television. I also have a Hitachi rear projection set that is hooked to my Dish Network receiver, no issues whatsoever. What could be the issue here? Incompatible with my dish feed? A problem with the TV? RF frequency problem?

Thanks in advance for any input :).

Lou

SOURCE: Toshiba CN36X81 television.. NO Sound...

IF coming in via, the "Dish" networked receiver, please check that this volume is turned way up, on the TV. and then control the the Volume, with the Dish Remote, often this is a problem, as one is turned down, and the other cannot turn that up, simply try syncing the Volume controls, UP on TV, control the Audio with dish remote. thats all i can think of. Check by feeding a signal IN from an AV, source, ie: Yellow, Video, & Red& White, Audio. Turn TV UP and check, IF it responds to this all is well. If NOT then you do indeed have a fault, with the TV.

Push the power button and the action button on the tv set until it shuts itself off and this will reset your tv. You cannot use the remote to reset...must use the actual tv buttons on the television set.

Won't turn on

Once you take the back off there is a glass gma fuse withing a few inches of where the power cord plugs into the board at. This should be a 6.3 or 6.5 gma fuse. Very common to blow in your model because the degausing coil is a little to big for it. There are other reasons for it to blow but 99% of the time you change change it and the set will work again. Let me know if you need more help or info!
