Whenever i connect ethernet to my laptop the internet does not access ,what maybe the problem

Hello,

Do you have both the wired and wireless network adapters enabled? You should be using only one or the other.

Disable the wireless adapter while using LAN cable to connect internet.

Also run and post the full results of "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) via the Command Prompt.

Thanks.

Is there a way to get my Toshiba Satellite pro 440CDX to conncect to a ethernet cord and not dial up

SETTING UP A BROADBAND CONNECTION (non dial-up connection)

First you need to decide what type of broadband and Internet service you require and these are -
1. DSL that uses your existing telephone line.
2. Cable that uses a cable service and can include a cable TV service.
3. A wireless 3G network uses the mobile/cell phone network and can be separate or combine with your cell phone account. This type of Internet connection uses an USB wireless device shaped like an USB memory stick.
Note - Combined services generally offer discount pricing and may include a modem/wireless router.

If you use a wireless router with the DSL or Cable Internet service then your laptop with a wireless card can then connect to the Internet. You can also connect to a free WiFi hot spots like McDonalds, Star Bucks, the Airport etc. using the wireless card in your laptop.
If you use the wireless 3G wireless broadband service, then you can access the Internet anywhere where your ISP has 3G wireless coverage. You need to check the service coverage area where you need Internet service.
Once you decide what type of broadband your require, then you need to check with the various Internet Service providers to see if they can offer and the cost of the various plans.
Note the download limits and the associated additional costs if you exceed the monthly download limits. Once you sign up with a Internet Service provider, their documentation will include setting up instructions and/or installation CD.

How do you get the ezbook pc windows embedded CE6.0 to connect to internet via dial up. Have a service, pulgged it up and unable to connect.

Dial up requires a modem instead of a LAN card. It uses an RJ-11 phone plug and not the bigger RJ-45 LAN plug. You also need a dial up internet service provider, and possibly software to make the phone call. There is a Connections setup in Internet Options, under Control Panel if you don't have the software.

So, you are right on track. Just make the call and enter the user name and password to finalize connection.

Computer doesn't remember to stay connected to wireless.

Try disabling the Wired Connection under the network connections settings and making the wireless your default. All of this is available via the Windows Control Panel.

Internet keeps defaulting to dialup connection vs. wireless

Go to Control panel > Internet Options> Connections tab >
check the "never dial a connection" bullet. Click ok.
Then you should be able to get online with that frustrating window.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Wont connect to the internet

Try this, assuming you're using Internet Explorer: Go to Tools > Internet Options and select the Connections tab. Does it show your old dial-up connection in the list? If so highlight it and click on REMOVE. Close IE and re-open it. It should now use the Belkin LAN connection.

Tungsten t2 can't acess internet

If you have your T2 connected via cradle/cable, then there really should be no problem. Just make sure your host settings are set identically to your pc's IP info/dial up or broadband service info. If you're trying to connect wireless, you need to have wireless service in order to connect. AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint are a few good wireless providers. Good luck!
