You will need to find the override switch. Once you find it. You will need the alarm to reset itself. ONce it sets itself. Open the vehicle door, insert key in the ignition and switch to run position. Use switch to turn off alarm. If it is a push button, use same procedure but push button for about three to five seconds and it will turn off alarm.

After battery change, the alarm won't stop

Your alarm should turn off with remote. If won't my wild guess is that somehow your alarm got short-circuited.
Does your car start with alarm on but anti-theft turned off? If does, disconnect horns and take your car to alarm installer to get it checked.

I have a 1996 jetta 1.8 with a factory alarm and i put in a new radio when i put battery back on after radio was installed the alarm kept on going off and i cant disarm it with remote button or when i try...

You alarm system monitor the radio. You basically disabled the vehicle when you removed the radio. You will need the original radio with the radio code and install it back. Your driver door lock is what turns it off and what turns it on. You have a 1996 Jetta find a electrical auto repair who is willing to do this (I do this all the time) Disable the alarm first get rid of the horn there is only on on the outer drivers side the alarm horn will have to be cut. From there acces the fuse box under the driver dash find the starter relay and bypass it. There your done no alarm and you can put any radio on .

Mom's car alarm went off while it is in the garage, and it won't go off. How do I stop it?

If you can't stop it with the remote, then find the fuse panel and look for the fuse that goes to the alarm. If the car's horn is honking, raise the hood and disconnect the horns.

Horn problem on 2002 Saturn Vue AWD V6

This is probably a temp thing...night brings colder temps. The wiring may be failing or the steering wheel portion over the horn might harden and cause it to touch the center of the horn to make it go off.
Let me know if this helps.
