The pen writes about 1" above the screen surface, so I can't double click or hold. By the time the pen touches the screen it has already scribbled all over.
The stylus pen works by pressure on the tip. Since the tc1100 uses an active digitizer, as soon as you come within range of the screen, the mouse should move (this is called pen-hover), however, if the tip is stuck upwards it will write or click instead just as if you were touching the screen.
Try carefully pulling out the tip using a needle nose pliers or your fingernails if they're strong, and then reinsert the tip gently. This should un-stick it. If this doesnt work, there may be an internal problem with the stylus.

The power plug appears to be bad.(Or the battery?) When the adaptor is plugged in, the "plugged in" light does not light. Is it possible the battery is bad? If not, is the plug the likely issue? Can it be repaired? Do you have the parts?
