It appears that you have a problem with your keyboard or touch-pad assembly. Try plugging in a USB keyboard and mouse and see if it operates normally. If that works then either your keyboard or your touch-pad module is defective. Copy and paste the following link on your internet browser to view the service manual:

I have a dell inspiron mini 1012 netbook... The other day when I went to type the keyboard typed itself. Now it stopped typing itself but another problem occurred. When I press 1 letter, 2 letters pop

You can try removing the keyboard and reinserting. You should find instructions online, probably a video, on how to remove the keyboard. However, my bet is that it probably has to be replaced.

The keyboard shows a connection but nothing happens on screen.

Delete device. reinstall. There may be a setting in the device manager that lets you use only one input method. So if the original keyboard will over ride? All this guess work would be eliminated if you give the os pc specs. If it's an external keyboard on a desktop then you may need to disconnect it? A laptop lets you use more than one input keyboard or wifi mini etc.

When typing it writes number 9 all the time

How often? Can you make it happen on demand?
Acquire any other USB keyboard, and plug it into a USB port on your PowerBook. Use this keyboard for a while. If you don't see the problem, then I suspect some sort of short in your keyboard cable, or perhaps a spill in the keyboard itself.
PowerBook G4 keyboards are very easily replaced, without opening up the laptop itself.

Sounds like a driver issue. My touchpad goes crazy sometimes and I have to reboot, especially when it gets a little wet on the touchpad.
