Depending on what series you have, you may have to install the VS-2 (Video Enhancer) Software on the media center (AV38) before you attempt to make a connection.
Most importantly, you have to connect the AC power adapter of the media center through the VS-2 enhancer and plug the VS-2's AC power adaptor into the wall. Hope these help.

I am trying to connect my vcr to my tv and am having many problems. does the vcr need cable? or can it conect solely to a tv? thanks.

If the TV has a scart socket then you should be able to connect it via a scart lead to TV from the VCR. Apart from feeding an aerial lead to the VCR first then out from it to the TV aerial socket it should work fine.

What should i need to conect my laptop to tv n how to conect it

It depends on the inputs for your TV on the back. You may well have a RGB input, which means you can just buy a standard RGB cable and plug it in. Your laptop might have a HDMI output and your TV might have an HDMI input, in which case an HDMI lead is necessary. You will need to either look at the back of your TV and see what connections are there or read the user manual for your TV to see what connections are there. Post back what kind of connections both your Laptop and TV have so we can help your further. (This isn't a router issue btw!)

I have a Digital Lifstyles 42

Hi,
If everything else works - there is sound and high voltage (static on the screen) - but there is no picture (including no on-screen menus), this limits the likely area of problems is the video output circuitry or CRT filament connections. Check to see if the CRT filaments are glowing. If they are not glowing, check for bad soldering on the CRT neck board and around the flyback transformer.

Where the picture is erratic - coming and going entirely or changing brightness suddenly, with power off, remove the picture tube socket (carefully!) and clean the pins with fine sandpaper and use contact cleaner on the socket. This source of bad connections can result in a variety of erratic symptoms. Check for bad solder connections on the CRT neck board.
GOOD LUCK....

My dvd's are all in black and white for some

hiya,

Try checking the connections between the dvd player and the tv, make sure they are fully pushed in.

If that doesnt work and you have a spare socket on the back of your tv try swapping the lead to that one.

I know that with scart leads if they arnt fully pushed in you will get a black and white picture.

I hope its thats simple..

Connecting lifestyle 27/38 to psp3

Your Bose system doesn't lead sound trough hdmi.
You must connect the optical cable with your lifestyle.
Change the sound connectionsettings in the menu of your ps3.

You also need to assgn the optical connection in the setup menu of the lifesyle. e.g. optical=aux.

I have a "Disney" Tv/dvd

I just fixed one that had several bad solder conections on the circuit board. The connections to the Flyback transformer and several leads to various componets all had a ring around the conection and not making a good conection to the leads.
