Question about Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 Video Card Graphic
An old system. Asrock K7VT2 motherboard with 384meg of SDR ram, running XP Home.
I bought a couple of 512MB strips of DDR memory as per motherboard manual spec. Took out the existing RAM and inserted one new strip. On reeboot, the monitor displays 'no signal input' message. Tried it in both RAM sockets with the same result.
I'm reluctant to try the other strip.
If I reinsert the old SDR strips, all seems well, albeit a bit slow!
Any advice would be appreciated.
Did you try 1 new ram at a time.also did you check the ram settings in the BIOS
get the numbers off of the new ram and do a search for them on the net they may not be not correct for your computer

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or
to shutdown or fail to detect your Test your PSU or replace it if your power
supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical
the leads from your
"((motherboard to your hard drive))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or
just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps
