Reinstalling does not work. I still cannot print from ie. I hit the print key and it tells me there is a microsoft problem and it leaves the internet and goes back to the desktop. I can print from my e mail etc so it must be the ie. I have tried to do updates but the system wants to do everything but update.

Hi

It is a good idea to allow the updates to occur. There may be things you are missing that is disallowing your IE from printing. IF you are not using IE 7 then you will need to get the update to solve your problem. Try FireFox. I works a treat :)

You need to reinstall Internet Explorer, either Internet Explorer installation is corrupted, or you have an old version that is giving troubles with new websites' dynamic content.
You can download Internet Explorer from Microsoft here: Internet Explorer: Get It Now

After downloading , install the software and restart the computer.

I am wondering how I can tell if the cd for setup was installed. how do I tell

I had the same problem trying to download a manual. They list it, but when you download you get an .exe file that goes nowhere. I'd contact customer care about that.
As for your no print problem, it sounds as though you are out of ink. Try cleaning the print head, gently, with plain water, using a lintless rag. If, when you print, you can hear the print head moving back and forth, as the paper comes out, your drivers and computer program is/are working okay. You can see what Canon software is on your machine by going to Windows Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer) and looking for Canon software. Go to "all programs" and look for Canon. You may have to look under C: program files. I hope this helps.

After updating to IE9, my printer won't print in grayscale, only color, why?

are you trying to print grayscale copy of the broswer or webpage? or grayscale from word document?

if you are trying to print grayscale from webpage or email, check the version of you IE 9 if it is BETA version or the complete version. It might have something to do with it.

Try using mozilla firefox browser or google chrome as work around.

I have vista and when I go to print, it says internet explorer stopped working and I have to turn the computer off to restart internet explorer

Hi, there are many reasons to the issue that you are facing while printing. The first step that you can do is reset the internet explorer to its manufacturer's default settings. To do this Open Control Panel > Internet Options. Once you are there, open Advanced Tab and locate the button RESET. You can go ahead and reset Internet Explorer. Once done try to open Internet Explorer and try to click on "Tools" menu and then select "Internet Options" again and go to Advanced Tab and once again try to RESET it.
Now try to check it by printing. This time there won't be any issue while printing.
Cheers!

How to I enable intel? I did a system reformat and now I cant get IE

Sorry, but there is no such thing as enable intel, intel is a hardware company.

If you reformatted the hard drive, then you had to install the operating system.

If you did a system restore, or recovery restore, this does not format
the hard drive.

What ever you did, if IE is missing, you need to try it again, because IE
is integrated into the windows operating system and is always there, so something happened.

Are you sure its not under the start menu, or listed in your control panel.

Sometimes it does not get placed on your desktop, so you think its missing when its not.

Check around, and if you need more help just post back.

Lost HP Dirctor Icons

Please confirm the version of Internet Explorer you are using If it is 8.0 or 7.0 then I would suggest you to please degrade the Internet Explorer version to 6.0 because HP Director is not compatible with IE 7.0 or 8.0. You can alos check for the scanning file and you can find it at

please click on Start button -> My Computer -> C: Drive -> Program files -> HP -> Digital Imaging -> Bin -> hpqscnvw.exe whe you will double click on this file, it will give you an interface to scan.

you can also click Start button -> all Programs -> HP -> HP Director (if it is there)
then right click on the HP Director and click Send to -> Desktop, it will create a shortcut on the desktop.

I hope it will work for you.

HP 6310 AIO Won't Print HTML Documents

Thought that I'd report that I fixed my printer. I named my printer wrong btw. It is an hp deskjet F340 All in One.
  • Go to the Tools and select Internet Options. Then go to the Programs tab. Select Set Programs then Set Defaults and then Set Program Associations. Select Internet Explorer.
  • Go to the Tools and select Internet Options. Then go to the Advanced tab. Select Restore Advanced Settings. Restart Internet Explorer and try to print again.
It did not work when I removed the windows updates. I also tried this online help and it did not work. HP suggested that I install Firefox. I did not like this option so I'm glad my fix worked for me.

Job Status Window Interface has stopped working.

The issue usually occurs if you are using windows xp drivers on a vista machine. It's strange that the error does not come up when printing from internet explorer 7.0.

There is a file on support.dell.com that you can run to remove any xp drivers and then run the vista installation file. that should take care of these error messages from the operating system.

you can copy and paste the following links to download and run the files :

Patch file to remove xp drivers:

Banner printing

got to be a setup problem. in your printer program there is a page for margins, page breaks. set all for zero or disable page breaks. as far as vista goes, personally I never liked it. I am running firefox and have been for the past three years. It doesn't have all the problem back doors like windows internet explorer. rarely do I ever get patches for the program - it just don't need them.AND firefox is completely compatible with 99% of all running programs.
