Operating system have built in drivers that can be used when installing external harware line video card. The problem with this is that sometimes new drivers are released for video cards to fix bugs. So, I suggest you install the latest driver of you video card. If you don't have, just google it you can definite get it.
Specs say AGP 8x. You can still buy a decent AGP card from ATI. ATI based cards seem to have AGP version up to the Radeom X1900 card.
