Subject; Ladies watch model 5268300. I tried to modify date but without success. I pulled-out the pin & keep rolling clockwise & backwise but the date never change= it always stays at number 24. Is it OK?

The only clue to what you have in front of you is that it might be a watch as you posted to the Watches category. All questions need 'make model (what it is)' as the first three words in every question.

Watches can be fully digital, with no crown (proper name for 'pull pin') to pull. They can be quartz electronic with an analogue dial and a crown. Finally they can be 'automatic', with no battery and powered by a spinning weight like my Rolex. that has a 3 way crown, pull to first position and it changes the date, pull all the way to change the time. My Seiko has a similar crown, but first position does the day when turned clockwise and the date when turned anti-clockwise. Pulling out all the way changes the hands.

To adjust the date on a Steinhausen TW381 watch, you will need to follow these steps:

1. Pull out the crown: Locate the crown on the side of the watch and gently pull it out to the first position.
2. Adjust the date: While the crown is pulled out, turn it in a clockwise direction. This will change the date on the watch. Keep turning it until the date reaches the correct setting.
3. Push the crown back in: Once the date is set, gently push the crown back into its original position.

4. Stop and start the chronograph by pressing the PA button, located above the crown.
5. Reset the chronograph by pressing the PB button just below the crown. The PB button returns the chronograph second and minute hands to their original positions of zero.

Automatic Geneva Watches

1. Wind the mainspring by turning the crown 15 to 20 times clockwise.
2. Pull the crown out until it clicks.
3. Turn the crown counterclockwise until you have the correct time, then push the crown in to set the time.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not set the date or time between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. to avoid damage to your Geneva watch. The gears sit too close together during these times.
• If your Geneva watch becomes wet, wipe it dry as soon as possible. Keep your watch away from saunas and hot tubs, as the extreme heat diminishes the watch's water resistance.

A standard ladies rolex should have just one stem and crown on the side. Occasionally the crown is a screw down crown. Try to pull the crown out if it does not pull out try to pull and unscrew it at the same time. There are two settings one you pull the stem all the way out and that should set the time, if there is a day or date setting, you push the stem halfway in turn one way for day and other way for date. Adjust the day of month (1-31) by pulling the crown pin out part way, and turning the pin counter clockwise, incrementing the date arm. Counterclockwise does nothing.

To adjust day of week (Mon-Sun), pull the pin out and rotate to turn minute/hour hands. Each time you pass 12:00, the weekday hand will increment by a half step.

Most good dive watches with a screw in crown need the crown to be pushed in and turned clockwise AT THE SAME TIME in order to screw in the crown fully and make the watch watertight.

When you want to adjust the date or time, you just rotate the crown counter-clockwise until it pops out a bit. If you gently pull the crown out to the first position you can turn it to adjust the date. If you pull the crown out farther, to the second position, then you can turn it to adjust the time.

Never take your watch into the water unless the crown is fully screwed in finger tight or water will get into the watch movement compartment and ruin it.

Unscrew the crown pull out the crown to the first position, One click and rotate the crown clockwise. This is for Quick Set models

Hi Dude, it's one of those things your going to cuss once you know. Just unscrew the Bezel.Thats it. Steve 

the crown is a screw down type to keep the watch water tight. Unscrew the crown (what you refer to as the dial) and you will then be able to set the date, time, etc. and be able to wind the watch manually. P.S. You unscrew the crown by rotating it counter-clockwise.
