Let me help you with that concern!

First, the computer asks you for a Password Reset Disk right? And then you inserted a BLANK Floppy Disk since you dont have a Flash Drive. But here is the thing, the computer is asking you a "Password Reset Disk" and in order for you to do that is, after you created a password into your account at your computer, the computer suggests to create a reset disk by inserting a floppy drive or a flash drive. And what the computer is doing is copying the password data into the floppy drive or to a flash drive. So inserting a blank floppy drive will do nothing on recovering your password. You need a password reset disk, but then again i think you did created a reset disk, so what you can do is to Reinstall the Operating System. I know your files are important but that is the only last resource that we can do. My suggestion is just back up all your files by inserting you hard drive into another laptop or you can just call drivesavers. You may visit their website at www.drivesavers.com and this is only a tip if still want to backup your files. But the resolution is still reinstalling the operating system.

Thanks!
I know it will work. Be Positive!
Your good rating will be very much appreciated.

Good luck and thank you!

Creating a bootable flash drive

Resolution:

The USB Flash Drive must be configured with an active primary MS-DOS partition. It must also contain the boot files. Follow the steps below to create a bootable USB Flash Drive.

Requirements:

Motherboard with BIOS that supports USB boot.
USB Flash Drive that may be erased.
Bootable floppy disk or CD with Fdisk and Format commands.

Directions:

Plug in the USB Flash Drive.
Make the USB drive the only bootable hard drive. Method 1:
If available, change the BIOS settings for the hard drive sequence, making sure the USB device is at the top of the list above all other hard drives. Not all BIOS Setup Utilities have this option. Method 2:
Disable all hard drives in the BIOS. In some BIOS Setup Utilities you can disable the individual hard drives, while in others you will need to disable the controller. Method 3:
Unplug all hard drive cables inside the case. If the cables are unplugged the computer cannot detect and boot to the hard drive.
Insert the bootable floppy disk or CD into the appropriate drive.
Restart the computer to the bootable floppy disk or CD.
At the command prompt, type: FDisk.
Delete and create a new active primary DOS partition.
Use FDisk to delete all partitions from the USB Flash Drive.

In FDisk, press the 3 key to Delete partition or Logical DOS Drive.
If there is just one partition on the drive, choose 1 to delete the primary DOS partition. If there are several partitions, the extended and logical partitions must be deleted before the primary partition.
After choosing option 1, the screen appears with partition information and a prompt for the partition to delete. Choose which primary DOS partition to delete, and then press ENTER.
A prompt appears to enter the volume label of the hard drive. Enter the label exactly as it appears on the top of the screen in the partition information. If the volume label contains gibberish or lowercase letters, the partition will have to be deleted as a non-DOS partition. Try using the option to delete a non-DOS partition in FDISK. After entering the volume label, press ENTER.
You are prompted if it should delete the partition. Press Y for Yes, and then press ENTER.
The screen changes to show only the total disk space and a line near the bottom that prompts that the primary DOS partition has been deleted. Press the ESC key to return to the main menu.

Use FDisk to create a primary partition on the USB Flash Drive. The drive letter will be C:, since all other hard drives were disabled in step 2.

In FDisk, press 1 to Create DOS partition or Logical DOS drive.
Press 1 to Create a Primary DOS Partition.
The next screen prompts if the maximum hard disk size should be made into one partition. Press the Y key, and then press ENTER.
The next screen prompts that the computer will now reboot. Press ENTER to continue.

Exit FDisk and restart the computer.
Start the computer from the bootable floppy disk or CD with the USB Flash Drive still connected.
At the command prompt, run Format by typing the following command: Format c: /s. Press ENTER.
At the command prompt, run FDisk by typing following command: Fdisk /mbr. Press ENTER.
Restart the computer without the bootable floppy disk or CD, and attempt to boot to the USB Flash Drive. If it works, it should go to a C:\> command prompt.
Change the settings made in step 2 back so that the computer operates normally again.

How to Recover Windows XP Password with Password Reset Disk?

Windows XP not only allows you to set a strong password to protect your computer, but also enables you to create a password reset disk to recover Windows XP password. So if you forgot Windows XP password, it is no need for you to reinstall computer. However, Windows XP has been released for several years and used by majority PC users, but there are still some PC users do not know how to create a password reset disk. Here I will show you how to create and use Windows XP password reset disk to help you to perform Windows XP password recovery.

To create a Windows XP password reset disk, you need to prepare a USB flash drive in advance before you follow the steps to create a password reset disk on Windows XP.

Step 1: Click Start button to select Control Panel.

Step 2: Click User Account on the following Windows screen.

Step 3: Select the User Account you want to create password reset disk for.

Step 4: Click Prevent a forgotten password.

Step 5: The Windows Password reset wizard will come up, Click Next.

Step 6: Insert your USB drive in computer. The next box will say Create a Password Reset Disk and ask you to insert your blank formatted disk in your floppy drive. Click the Next button.

Step 7: Enter your password at the Current User Account Password Box and click Next.

Step 8: Windows XP will create the password reset disk. When the progress indicator shows 100% complete, click Next.

Step 9: Click Finish when the forgotten password wizard box prompts you to do so.

When the Windows XP password reset disk is created, a file named userkey.psw will appear on your USB flash drive. You only need to create a disk for your Windows XP login password once. No matter how many times you change your password, this disk will always allow you to create a new one. Please remember to keep it in a safe location. And when you forget your password, you can use this USB flash drive to recover Windows XP password. Below are the Windows XP password recovery steps.

Step 1: Start your computer to enter the Windows XP log on screen.

Step 2: Type an incorrect password in the Password box, and then press Enter.

Step 3: In the following Logon Failed dialog box, click use your password reset disk. The Password Reset Wizard starts.

Step 4: On the Welcome to the Password Reset Wizard page, click Next.

Step 5: Insert the password reset disk, and then click Next.

Step 6: On the Reset the User Account Password page, type a new password twice.

Step 7: In the Type a new password hint box, type a hint, click Next, then click Finish.

Now your Windows XP password has been reset. You can log on your computer with the new password. And if forget to create a password reset disk, you can still perform Windows XP password recovery with Windows password recovery software like Windows Login Recovery. It can help you recover Windows XP password by burning a bootable CD / DVD or USB flash drive. In addition to perform Windows XP Password recovery, it can also help you recover Windows administrator password, standard user password on Windows 7 / Vista / Server 2008 / 2003, etc.

I was restoring my computer with the recovery disc and it came up with a black screen that says...non operating disc or disc error. How can I fix this?

This means your computer is trying to boot from an unbootable source, try the recovery again (it might have not ended successfully last time and rendered the HD unbootable), be sure there are no other CDs or floppys or usb drives attached to the computer.

Where is the insert for the floppy disc

The floppy disk may or may not be installed in section 5. They started eliminating floppy drives some years ago, when USB flash started to become popular.

Can contain an optional floppy drive or optional Media Card Reader. For information on using the Media Card Reader, see Using a Media Card Reader (Optional).

If your question was more basic than this, and you have a floppy drive, then you just insert the floppy into the slot. It doesn't open. Look for the arrow on the floppy disk, if it doesn't go in one way, turn it over.

My HP s123w Slimline Pavilion will not start up. Every time I turn it on, it goes to a black screen stating "DISC BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISC AND PRESS ENTER" and I do not have the system disc. Any...

Take the floppy disk out of the drive... this sounds like the classic error when the boot order includes the floppy disk first, and a blank or data (not bootable) floppy diskette gets left in the drive.

There could be another type of drive set as bootable. CD's and DVD's don't normally do this - they usually cause a prompt "press any key to boot from CD..." or similar.

You could go in the computer setup and set the hard disc drive to be the 1st in the boot order and also solve this problem.

Otherwise could be your C: drive got damaged somehow. Virus or otherwise.
