Here's the link for the available Lexmark Z1300 printer drivers: http://bit.ly/bNJ6oF. Click on the Microsoft or Macintosh drop-down found below the page to choose the version of your computer's operating system. Download and execute the file. Thank you for choosing Lexmark.
Most printers will not work with Vista & Windows 7 I have found. I ended up purchasing a cheap Lexmark Z715 which operates fine on mine. There are no updates for yours as of yet and someday there might so some sort of update.
found this on another forum. I had the same problem and this worked for the problem posted: Found this on techsupportforum.com and it worked for me. Good Luck!
and HOLD all following buttons: Power, Load/Eject (I don't have this
button, so I skipped this), Stop, B&W, Color. Continue to hold the
buttons until "Init Eeprom" appears on the printer screen. Press Color
button to clear protection counter.

Found a solution. We connected 8008 printer to imac running Tiger & we can now print via network on any of our emacs running Leopard. Not ideal but at least we can now use the printers. I would still love a dedicated driver to work direct but I suppose this will do for now.
I've found that if I turn the computer completely off and let it sit for at least 5 minutes then it will generally when rebooted be ready to print again. I don't know why this works but that has worked in the past for me. I hope this helps.
I had a similar problem; paper would go sideways when it was trying to pull it through. I looked into the paper slot with a mirror and found a mini-blind clip had fallen into the printer. I tipped the printer over and shook it out and it worked fine.
