The gprs in my phone is not working

Nokia phones has a builtin APN database so you don't have to setup the information every time you insert or change a SIM Card. Kindly check ypou have GPRS services activated by your cellular provider . Once you get them activated , turn off your phone and restart it and it will start using GPRS .

TO ACCESS INTERNET ON YOUR MOBILE YOU SHOULD HAVE

1. GPRS ENABLED DEVICES.
2. WORKING GPRS NETWORK.

FIRST OF OF ALL YOU HAVE TO CALL YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER TO ACTIVATE GPRS ON YOUR SIM CARD (YOUR NAME SUGGEST THAT YOU ARE FROM INDIA SO IF YOU HAVE AIRTEL SIM THEN DIAL *567# OR HAVE TATA DOCOMO SIM THEN DIAL *141# TO ACTIVATE GPRS BY YOURSELF.)
AFTER GPRS ACTIVATION AGAIN CALL CUSTOMER CARE AND ASK THEM TO SEND SETTING ON YOUR DEVICE(IN AIRTEL SEND "MO" TO 543210 FOR TATA DOCOMO SEND "INTERNET" TO 52270)
AFTER RECEIVING SETTING SET THEM AS DEFAULT SETTING.
NOW OPEN YOUR BROWSER AND ENJOY SURFING AND DOWNLOADING.

FOR GPRS YOU HAVE TO ASK YOU SERVICE PROVIDER.
JUST CALL ON CUSTOMER CARE AND ASK THEM TO ACTIVATE GPRS ON YOUR SIM CARD.
USUALLY NOW A DAY SIM CARD COMES WITH PRE ACTIVATED GPRS (0 RENTAL PLAN).
IF YOU HAVE ACTIVATED GPRS THEN AGAIN CALL CUSTOMER CARE FOR GPRS SETTINGS.
SETTING WILL DELIVERED TO VIA SMS. SAVE THEM AND SET THEM AS DEFAULT SETTING.
NOW OPEN YOUR DEFAULT BROWSER AND ENJOY.

You need to activate GPRS service on your sim because your phone is GPRS ready. To do this you need to call the customer care number and ask them to activate gprs on your number. Also ask them to give the configuration settings of your model that will automatically configure your mobile to use GPRS.

2. Open MMS.
3. Open Message Settings.
4. Open Server Profile.
5. Create/Edit a Profile and enter the following values:

This configuration is working perfectly using ZT321, Baizhao 8928 and IPhone Clone A380 and probably will work using other China Phones.
If your SIM card is previously activated using other phones specially those phones supported by Globe and Smart, no need to activate your SIM. This is also valid for postpaid users since SIM cards are pre-activated for MMS, GPRS and other services.
But if your SIM is not yet activated or never been used for MMS and GPRS, you need to activate your SIM before you can use MMS and GPRS services.
For Smart SIM, you can use your China Phones to activate MMS and GPRS by simply sending/texting MMS ON / GPRS ON to 333 (I don?t know if this number is still valid). No need to download the configuration for Smart. Just use the configuration I?ve given.
For Globe SIM, this is a little bit harder and need some workaround. I tried to call Globe Customer Service but they cannot activate your SIM manually on their system and the only way to activate it is by downloading the configuration thru text or by asking them to send the configuration. But since China Phones are not yet supported by any Service Provider, what you can do is to active MMS and GPRS using another phone. Monitor until your SIM is activated then transfer your SIM in your China Phone and enjoy surfing and sending MMS.
In another forum, they said you can try using configuration for SE p900. I?ve never tried this but if this really works, well and good for China Phone fanatics.

you need to call BSNL customer care number 9400024365 ask them to activate GPRS on your phone number, after they send you GPRS setting save on your phone then enjoy using GPRS facility on your phone

hi i locked my sim card, i went onto 02 website and went onto PUK code. it asks you to put your phone number in then comes up with the code. i put the code in and it it worked

I assume you are using a pre paid sim card. It would be better to call the customer care of your service provider(voda phone) and then you have to apply for their gprs tariffs.
