Select the program of draining or spinning.
You should hear the drain working. If not, don't insist.
Turn it off and pull the power cord out. After that, you should clean the filter of the appliance. This is located on the bottom of the front panel. Just watch out ..becuase when you unscrew the filter, all water will come out from there. Be sure you have a towel beside you!
After the water comes out, check into the hole of filter if there is any object that blocks the pump to work. If you find something, perhaps you solved the problem! Here is the user instructions of how you can do it. AEG Lavamat 541 electronic Operating Instructions Manual

The only filter/screen I am familiar with is the one in the hoses the supply hot and cold water to your machine. They should be checked once in a while but I have never found much in them.

Hello!

Error C1 on AEG Lavamat usually means that there is a trouble with water filling. The required water level is not reached.

I reccomend you contact your local Service
Force Centre.
