I keep getting the message failed to create print object Lexmark 6500 series. The specified module could not be found. (126)

It coudl be a printer driver issue. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem.
First, uninstall your existing print driver. On your computer, go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark 6500 Series > Tools > Uninstall. After the uninstall process, reboot pc when prompted.
Second, visit the Lexmark website to download and re-install the Lexmark X6500 printer driver. Select your operating system > download > execute the file. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.
Lastly, after the re-install process, try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.

I saw that going to digitalgadgets.com had an upgrade and when I loaded the upgrade into my memory card and loaded it into the computer exactly as instructed it wiped out everything I had on the new...

when it starts up hold down f8, or f11. this will allow you to enter into the system recovery and/or the safemode, but only if an operating system is still installed on it. if these are not accessible, then you will have to re-install the operating system. chances are its still there. a little advice, dont install nothing unless you have the system backed up on a disc or a usb drive for quick fixes.

My cd rom icon does not show up when i open my computer, i am told some files are corrupted, like mscdex. file cannot be found, what is the remedy to this problem?

The simple solution to get those corrupted files to normalcy is to do a XP repair. Put your XP disc in your cd rom and restart your system. Some process will run and when it asks for selecting the option to install a new edition or repair the existing system, give repair. once you click it, it will execute the repair process and after few minutes your system will get restarted. Your problem will probably get fixed with this solution i hope

How to dual boot xp and vista?

Hi,

First of all partition a drive up. Make sure its a large capacity drive, something well over 100GB.

Boot the computer with CD/DVD set as the first boot device and pop the XPmag-glass_10x10.gif CD in the drive and allow setup to begin. When you come to the screen where you select the drive partition you should see the drive listed with all the space listed as unpartitioned. If the drive was in use previously, you'll need to delete all the existing partitions. To do this you'll have to hit the 'D' key followed by the 'L' key. The screen instructions will be visible to guide the process.

Once all the existing partitions are deleted the display will show the total unpartitioned disk space.
Hit the 'C' key to create a partition. Personally i partion mine to 80GB (81920MB)

On the newly created partition, (not the raw one) install XP on that. Carry on with the installation until its final restart, it will be a light blue screen.

Quickly pop the Vista disk into the drive and start the Vista install. When it askes where you want Vista choose the unallocated partition. If you let XP load up first then you will not have the dual boot option on start up.

If you have done this correctly then each time the computer restarts during Vista install you see a boot message on screen saying "older version of window(XP) and Vista.

Lets Vista fully install right up until it loads the welcome screen. Then you can restart the computer, choose older version of windows to complete and load the XP operating system.

You then have to switch between them both to install drivers, software etc.

If you want to use both operating systems at a time then you need a virtual operating system installed but they are not that good as memory is kept at a minimum.

Good luck and please post back if you need anymore advice.

Regards.

What does parallel set on mean on a vtech phone

parallel i believe refers to the ability to use multiple handsets on one line and one call. This phone has the ability to isolate a telephone call so that only the original answering handset can tune into the conversation. If you only have one of these models then this setting has no real function.

Need registry key to to install printer

Assuming you are running Windows XP, you may be able to repair this issue if you "restore" your computer to an earlier date.

This is a process by which Windows remembers a time when your computer functioned properly, and sets your computer to those settings. Most of the registry problems can be fixed in this manner.

To access Restore feature, click Start and find Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools, then System Restore.

A window should open that asks if you would like to create a restore point, or restore your computer to an earlier date. Choose this later option.

The next screen should show you a calendar. The dates which are bold are dates that you can choose to restore your computer.

You may not fix the problem on the first try; so choose the most recent bold date, and restore. If the printer still will not install, repeat the process with the next older date.

Unfortunately, if this process does not allow you to repair your computer's software, a reinstallation of the operating system may be required.

Good luck....tony

Unable to check for updates

If your copy of Vista is on a DVD (rather than preinstalled) some people have had success installing the DVD disc and choosing Upgrade (NOT Install...that will WIPE your existing system!) Somehow the Upgrade process corrects the corruption that creates your problem BUT plan on a long siege...it's NOT an immediate process. See:http://www.vistaheads.com/forums/microsoft-public-windowsupdate/180888-re-error-code-80070490-a.html and good luck!

If your copy is pre-installed, my best suggestion is to call the manufacturer of your PC, HP or Dell or Gateway Support and drive THEM nuts with it...Microsoft isn't too great at fixing it either, from reports I've read.
