Your hard-drive is crashed and unreadable by win32.dll what you can do is try kick starting by using your friend computer it just might do it. I had same problem and I asked my son to using my hard-drive on his PC. It worked and still working. good luck

I have an Iomega external hard drive and I am getting a message: F:\ is not accessible. The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable. Can I retrieve my images from the drive? Thank you

Try it on other Port or try plugging it on other computer.
if its corrupted there's a way of retrieving the files. using a recovery software :).
you can use Seagate File recovery software. it will work on other devices .

The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable

You unplugged it when data was still written on it so it was corrupted. Some files are still recoverable so use
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Back-Up-and-Recovery/smart-recovery.shtml
to get them.

Corrupt or unreadable error message

You can use free softwares such as Pandora Recovery to recover data. I cannot guarantee that it will recover any, but it doesn't hurt to try. There are also a lot of other payware softwares you can try if you think it would help.

Can't open HDD drive

Hi
1. Start > Run > type in cmd then click OK to get a command prompt.
2. Type in chkdsk e: /r (replace e: with the drive letter of your external hard drive).

This won't do any harm, it will fix errors on the disk and try to recover data from bad sectors. It might not solve the problem but it's worth a try. Jyo

Did you try reinstalling the drivers and software for it? I have a Seagate FreeAgent drive and once it went to sleep, it did that exact same thing. I kept playing with it, and rebooting the PC and it finally woke up. On the FreeAgent I was able to then tell it never to sleep again.
