I am famillar with PTS, they would have tested The ICs first. I believe you will find the trouble lies in the DCU I have seen a good many of those needing replacement.

Mitsubishi projection tv ws 55313 video board

Sounds like you got a tech with no experience who just wanted out---most of the boards are not available but most can be sent out to PTS Electronics who will repair/rebuilt them.

The one thing that makes them unrepairable is if glycol has got on them, but even that can be fixed.

Too expensive a set to just walk away===find someone with experience on Mitsubishi who does authorized service on this brand.

Picture has alot of lines in it went you turn it on takes 10 to 15 min. to clear up

I do not have good news for you---if it has lines etc and clears up after several minutes--usually as it gets worse it takes longer and longer, you have a bad HYPER board--very common in these sets--board is now only available on an exchange basis--means board has to be removed and sent out for rebuild/repair.

Toshiba no longer sells this part--I just helped someone else here yesterday with a slightly different model with the same problem--he was very savvy and I sent him a photo of the board and the 10 surface mounted caps that go bad--not a job for most do it yourself people--what goes bad here are several surface mounted caps on the Hyper board--they dry out from the heat and age...

To make matters worse--most of these boards are soldered in--there is a national company who can repair/rebuild the board in your model: part number for the rebuilt board is: 23148024

This board costs about 220 dollars not counting labor to get it our and shipping etc.

The person I stepped through the repair did it himself for about 25 dollars in parts cost.

The company that does this kind of repair is PTS electronics

Let me know if you have any questions or need advice--I am here to help people--I cannot always give good news but I would bet you have a bad Hyper board.

Sound shuts off. TV model 61SWX12B

If this set was made around 2000 it may be the audio module that is no longer available---They had all kinds of troubles---if your set has this board (looking from the back of the set with the cover removed--unplug set first) it will be mounted above the main boards on the left wall of the cabinet---it is about 5 x 6 inches in size.

Basically the problem with these was they crammed a lot of stuff that gets hot on the board and solder problems develop---

You find this board you really only have a few choices--You can have the board removed and sent to a company called PTS ELECTRONICS WHO will repair/rebuild the board for you--You can find them on the internet.

This board has several plugs and only 2 or 3 screws hold it and the metal frame for it to the inside of the set----Hitachi had detailed instructions for this repair on their technical site---I along with several other techs who looked at this decided considering the amount of time to try to fix it---it was cheaper just to send it out for rebuild---PTS should have a 800 number and can give you a quote for this service.

Let me know if you have ANY questions or need advice. Any good TV tech who actually looks at this set will be familiar with the problem---The first one I saw was a brand new one with no sound from right speakers, right outs etc.

My HP 42 incher died after 2.5 years.

HP doesn't make the price for the main board for your TV available on their website, so you'd have to contact them to get an idea of the cost. Likely it will cost at least $300 but could cost a lot more. If you've had the set for 2.5 years, you'll want to ask yourself if you want to put $300 to $600 or more into the repair of an out of warranty TV when you can purchase a new 42" Viore LCD that's 1080p from walmart.com for $578. Their 32" of the same brand is $349. They have other more popular and more expensive brands as well, but the point is what you'll spend to repair your TV would buy one that is brand new with a fresh warranty. And keep in mind that Wal-Mart's extended 2 yr service plan costs less than $100.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Please post a comment if you need additional assistance so that I can help you further.

HP PE4200N Plasma TV

This problem is caused by something called a YSUS board going out. You can buy the replacement parts for about $300 dollars or there is a company that will fix the YSUS board. I don't have instructions yet for removing the YSUS board, but if you've got the skills or know someone who's good with electronics, you can fix the board for about $120. I've got the same problem with my 42 inch plasma TV. I called PTS Electronics today at 812-824-9331 (their website suggests you call 800-844-7871). I spoke to Kelly. She was very helpful, but said anybody at their number can help.
Kelly said that you do not need to call first to get a return authorization. To get the YSUS Board fixed, you need to remove yours and send it to the following address:
PTS Electronics
2000 S. Liberty Dr
Bloomington, IN 47403

When you ship in, you should include a letter with the following information:
Your Name
Your Mailing Address
Your Phone Number
Payment info for the $122.60 to repair the board. If you want to pay with a credit card, note that in your letter and that you want them to call you. They'll call you to get your credit card info when they receive your board.

She suggested shipping via UPS and insuring the part when you ship it.

I learned some new things when I spoke to her. If you'd prefer to replace the board in your printer, you can use one of the following alternate parts to replace the YSUS board:
Part made by LG - part #6871QYH053A
Part made by LG - part #6871QYH053B
Part made by Toshiba - part #75003031 http://www.moduslinkptstvboards.com/75003031-P6096.aspx

Out of the three alternate replacement parts, the only one they currently have available is the Toshiba part. They have it listed at $254 (I thought Kelly said $268 - maybe with shipping?) with a core value of $65 that you'll get back if you ship them your broken part. That leaves you paying roughly $200. Having them fix my part seems like a better option to me. Kelly also said that all these parts for the HP TV are refurbished parts - none of them are new - that's why they want you to send them your broken part.

Link to PTS website with information about ordering 1032298-HS (http://www.moduslinkptstvboards.com/1032298-HS-P1628C13.aspx). They currently have 0 available for sale. The message on this page tells you to contact them to arrange repair using the information provided above.

Need Diode part numbers for Philips Y-Main board

Not serviceable at component level, yeah right! They wish it isn't - it's a well known fact that electronics manufacturer's spare parts divisions generate more profit (with less revenue) than the retail units.

Long story short, we've serviced tens if not hundreds of those boards and we certainly aren't one of the biggest "unauthorized" service centers around.

I.e. we do not have a Samsung license and frankly, we don't need one.

LJ41-02759A is anything, but a black box and its weaknesses are well known within the service tech's community.

For D5001 you can use any 1A fast or ultra-fast rectifier diode with at least 200V reverse voltage. We use this:
