Best I can recommend is to go to www.delonghi-accessories.com. It's the site of a US distributor for Delonghi, which is the parent company of Simac, and it lists numbers for support.

Put the metal canister into the freezer overnight. This replaces the ice and salt in the old bucket style ice makers. After the canister is frozen use any ice cream, yogurt, or sherbet reciepe. Ben and Jerry's have a good website for receipes.
