Hxd7 protect

hi i am have the same problem as every one else. the protection message wont allow me to do anything on my hxd7 from jvc. the only difference is i played it shortly befor going to my girlfreinds house for a couple of hours and when i came back it would turn on because of the protection message. does anyone at least know the average cost to fix.
