Question about Logitech X-240 Computer Speakers

1 Answer

Logitech X-240 woofer

The Logitech x-240 woofer needs to be replaced (1.1/5 inch paper cap is pressed inward).Where I can buy the woofer whose impedance is unknown to me (4,6 or 8ohms?). Speaker has 4 mounting holes 4.5inch across. I could replace the whole woofer or just the cap.If possible, I'm looking to buy a woofer with rubber suspension, the original one has paper suspension.Logitech is no help in this matter.Thank you,
George

You should google it and find a woofer of the correct size with at least 8 ohms to be safe. (more ohms= less risk of fire!) good luck!

i had the same problem with same speaker system. the amp for this system is inside the bass speaker. if your amp is still working but your bass speaker is not you could cut the wires to that speaker making sure the cut wires do not short out. i was quoted more to repair them than it was to buy a new set. but i wont be buying logitech again as ive had two lots fail.

Paper loading tips:
● Load paper with the side to be printed facing down.
● You can print photos and documents on a wide variety of paper sizes, from
8 x 13 cm (3 x 5 inch) up to 22 x 61 cm (8.5 x 24 inch). The 10 x 15 cm
(4 x 6 inch) photo paper is available with and without tabs.
● Before loading paper, pull the Main paper tray out (use the Main tray release or
the tray grips) and slide out the paper-width and paper-length guides to make
room for the paper. After loading paper, adjust the guides to fit close to the edges
of the paper without bending the paper. When finished loading paper, push the
Main tray back in all the way.
● Load only one type and size of paper at a time in the same tray.

Is it possible to get an X240 sub-woofer repaited? In a house move the speaker diaphragm has been damaged - can i get a spare? and how much?

it will cost you more to repair than to replace and there are very few people that do that anymore. best bet would to be to look for a replacement of that model number on ebay or other websites that sell old gear.

Just got the speakers and am wondering what is the best way to position the speakers..Small speakers on each side of monitor and where should I place the woofer? I can put it on the same level (large desk...

Woofer usually right in front of you on floor between legs sort of, the other two, should go about shoulder height, about 1.5 - 2M apart. You sit in the middle, slightly angled inwards this gives realistic results.

Hi. Did you plug in the subwoofer/control to the Green Slot on the back of your pc ? (should be green wire connected in the green slot)
Then you connect the 2 speakers in the back of the woofer. you will see a little slot with the label Speakers next to it.

Hope this helps, if this is not what you have already tried.
