Okay, this are good news so far.

We know your MP3 is not completely "dead".

Possum77, does your MP3 charge? Did the screen on the MP3 turn on, or something appeared on it?

When you tried to recharge it before, was it by the computer or a wall charger?

HI,

Try reseting it by holding the power button for 30 sec.
Let me know the result.

The next thing you can do is just remove the battery from your player
and then connect the usb cable to the player and the pc.If the player
turns on then problem is with the battery.Just try putting the battery
back and see if it turns on.IF it doesn't then you will have to replace
    it with a new battery.

Make sure darktime is set low in the setup program. It should be set to say 6 or 9 seconds. The LED display system will use considerable power compared to just the audio system.

Bought a Onix 2gb from Aldi no instructions how do

The Onix Mini Coupe I works just like a flash drive ... I am only running W2K ... I plugged it in and it was recognized ... copy mp3 files to the drive that appears in your list of disk drives. (just at the lowest (root) level). It works fine.

I bought a mp4 player video 2 go from aldi i put music on it from limewire and a few months later it dosent work i turn it on and its just a blank screen!

more that likely when you put music from limewire on it the music was infected with a virus and corupted the mp3 player theres a slim chance you can download the firmware for your mp3 player and reflash the players software and it might work again but i highly recomend that you stop using limewire because almost everything on there is infected with viruses and spyware and otherprograms that can mess up your pc next

Hi, The MP3 only cost £5, about $8, I could not find battery compatment & now realise it is a sealed rechargeable unit.

Tevion MP3 player (digital audio player)

hi
from when i first bought mine...
does it show as an MP3 player or MTP device, if it is the second one you'll need to do some tinkering in the settings. the instructions for this are in the small manual [no really]. It'll then behave normally.
Otherwise MTP devices require you to put files on in a different (and slightly arcane) way they also may need to be 'official' DRM files rather than CD-rips
;-0
hope this helps in some way and does not confuse
