Question about Polaroid I533P Digital Camera

2 Answers

Polaroid i533 My Polaroid i533 doesn't seem to recognize the memory cards. It won't format and reads card error? I changed the card in my camera, (512MB, SanDisk), and now it reads "card error". How do I get rid of the notice on the screen? I had no problems with the previous card.

I don't think it's supposed to be Sandisk but SD (stands for something else), and not SD-HR, just SD, and 2 GB or less. Then as you know it has to be formatted by going to the setup menu and selecting format while the card is in the camera.

My camera says the memory card is locked and memory card error appears when I turn on the camera. I've read that I have to format the card, but won't the photos be destroyed? How can I get my pictures

There is a tab on the memory card so you will you need to remove it from the camera and change the position of this tab to "unlock" it. DO NOT format the card until you've BACKED UP your files from it (typically to a PC or USB drive (stick or external hard drive).

Why won't my Olympus sp-600UZ accept my memory card. It' keeps tell me error can't read card

Ok try this for you to determine if your memory card is defective or not, try to insert your card to a device that support the type of memory card you have. Then if it still doesn't work i assume your memory card is defective. But if the memory will work try to insert other memory card on your camera for you to determine if your camera memory slot has a problem. I have a polaroid dvf-720 brand new and trying to record and 2mins and it says memory full? i dont understand, and i have a memory card that says card error, need help or im in trouble with the wife!

Ok so I have the same problem I went out and purchased an SD card...but it doesnt work. So I called Polaroid and you need to purchase a CLASS 6 SD card of 2gb or more for it to work properly...figures it does not say that in the manual.

I lost my software to upload photos from my polaroid I533

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I have a i533 5.0 megapixel digital camera.I took pictures thinking the memory card was in it but it wasnt and it said memory was full so i deleted the pictures off the camera and put the memory card back...

You caused a card conflict, or have corruption on the card.

Try this:
Remove the battery from the camera.
Remove the memory card, and re-insert.
Install the battery back in the camera.
Turn on the camera.
In the setup menu or the equivalent for your camera, select the card options. Indicate for it to re-format, or re-initialize the memory card.

If the above does not work, you should call the support line for your camera.

It is possible that the memory card was damaged. This would be by coincidence. Just in case only the formatting is damaged you can try to format the memory card.

As far as reading the card is concerned, if the Mac has issues to read a PC format then it will not be able to read the card from your camera.

Hi!

According to the user manual - the maximum size of memory card it can support is up to 256MB only. However, many users claim that it can support up to 512MB.

Card Error message

Your card may have become corrupted, there are good free utilities out there to save such files from corrupted memory cards, try DIR (Digital Image Recovery) that you can use with a computer card reader if the computer does not recognize your connected camera as an external hard drive.

If you were able to recover your files, format the card in the camera, that should solve your problem using the card.

If the card cannot be recognized by the computer or formatting the card doesn't help, you may have a defective memory card, try another one.

If the card works otherwise but is still not recognized by the camera you may have a defective memory card connector or other camera motherboard problem, sorry.

Hope this helped...
