Sansa Clip won't turn off right? push up power button and hold it for 10 to 20 second, your device will turn off now.
After that, you should update your new firmware from sandisk forum, you should check Sansa Clip or Sansa Clip+ from the following web, http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/
Attention: Resetting the device will delete all the songs
You can try to reset the device by pressing the power button for about 15 to 20 seconds..if that doesnt work I would recommend you to go to the sandisk site to update the firmware on your device or you can contact sandisk to they can help you with updating the firmware on your device..Please follow the link below to get the firmware http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376

Some recent Windows updates have caused problems as severe as this on many mp3 players regardles of manufacturer (the iPod has been immune because it is not Windows-based). If you have either Windows Vista or Windows Media Player 11, which are the latest versions, then perform a firmware update on your Sansa player by going to the Sansa website and getting the firmware updater: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx
It sounds your device batteries is bad...what I will recommend you to do is to contact sandisk to see if they can RMA the device for you...Sandisk number is 1-866-726-3475.. I hope this helps... Please rate accordingly Thank You Computerrep
