My printer got jammed now it has stopped...

I was printing a job and first the printer jammed and on the screen it read wrong paper type (even though this is what a always use.) Then I got the jammed paper out, and now my printer is not reponding. I can't even turn it off. the light keeps on flashing.
Can you Help with these Printers problems?
