TV WONT SWITCH ON LE26A456C2D standby light blinks 5 times, 1 long, 4 short then goes out and tv wont come out of standby. You then have to remove the power. PSU capacitors do not show obvious signs of failure. Are these obvious signs of PSU failure or could it be the main board

    Replaced capacitors, though they were showing no obvious signs of failure. No change, standby light flashed 5 times then went out. No response to remote.
    Phoned Samsung and they just referred me to local repair centre.Phoned them, didnt want to know unless I took it in and charged me £25 non refundable to diagnose.
    Left TV couple of days, plugged it back in, no change...lol.Tv previously has switched itself on randomly which I believe was due to auto-software utility update soi thought I would leave set on to see if it tried that..Fiddled, (for the want of a better word) with remote and tv buttons while plugging in power lead and the standby light actually came on and STAYED on!.TV still would not come out of standby.Left it about 20 minutes and it switched itself on!. Now the standby light stays on and I can actually switch the TV on and Off now....? Could there be a dry soldered joint somewhere?. Anyway, dont know how long this will last but for the moment...ITS WORKING.

Or www.digikey.com, just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current and long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

The code will tell the engineer where to look.
I dont know what this code means but could be display driver, main board etc.
If you ring samsung service centre in your area and tell them a code they should be able to give you an idea and a very rough idea on cost.

    Thanks, will contact Samsung and post back outcome.Though I suspect the PSU a new one is £60, so if unresolved through Samsung technical will change the capacitors first and let you know if it cures the problem....thanks again.

TH-50pz80U standby light blink 10 times.TV wont turn on.
Fault in the main board and the power supply is OK and the mP IC is trying to switch on but has feedback errrors making it switch off.
So check for possible short in the drivers, short in capacitors or a faulty drive IC.

I pressed the sleep button by accident and the pic and sound went off and the stand by/timer red light started blinking. what does it mean?
Depends on how many times it blinks,just count the blinks Example: if it blink 2 times then pauses and blink 5 times then the code would be 25 and so on
