The radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code
First remove the radio from the dashboard.
Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the metal casing.
This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated

I need the stereo code for a 2000 grand am i just bought it and the stereo is on LOC ...i puled out the stereo and on the top it says delco electronics part NO. 09380152 SER MAN Y underneth the...

You will have to contact GM for the code. There are no generic codes and each is unique to prevent use after theft, otherwise a code would be rendered useless in preventing use after theft. Unless the person or place has the code for the radio, you will need to contact GM.

Honda radio says code , was removed from car. i bought it a yard sale.

It's a security feature. It keeps the radio from being used if it's stolen from a car. I'd try and figure out who the original owner was and see if they know. Or you might want to contact your nearest Honda dealership.

Need the security code

Hello,

there is no site or organization willing to give you a stereo code for free. Some amount of money will be charged in exchange for the radio code.

Radio unlock code can be gotten from the below link:

http://www.radio-code.com/

Also the process to follow in order to successfully unlock the stereo is stated in the link.

In addition this link claims to generate stereo unlock codes for free, you can give it a trail as it might work for you.

Take care.

Bought a used car and a separate used car stereo. Since the brand of stereo is the same as my car I thought I could put it right in. Now I need a Hinda radio unlock code and I don't have the money to buy...

There isn't much you can do.In order to unlock the stereo I am pretty sure you need the VIN number of the car it came out of.If it was at a salvage yard, there is hope.I have no idea who started that lock system or why, most likely theft deterrent, but will it really stop theft? It is one of the stupidest 'technologies' in current cars.Every time the battery is disconnected you have to unlock it too. They may get $5-$10 less for the car.woowoo.Anyhow,good luck!
