"E" stands for error. Something could be wrong with the design, or perhaps it is not suitable for the machine (too big, etc) Let me know the design you are trying to stitch, and perhaps I can help you figure out the error.

Janome dks 100 se - it keeps beeping when I press the foot pedal and I have to do this several times before it starts sewing. It doesn't beep when using the stop/start button and is sewing fine

Same machine and model and same problem. It’s really irritating. It’s not the bobbin as the screen flashes worth the foot pedal. I’ll look at the tension but given how often it beeps and on so many different projects with different thread and tension it seems to be a fault of some kind... searching for a fix...

Basic Tips for All

  1. Always turn the handwheel TOWARDS you (counter clockwise) as turning it in the opposite direction (away from you, clockwise) may knock the timing out requiring repair from a service center.
  2. Always be sure your presser foot is in the DOWN position before sewing. Sewing with the presser foot in the up position will cause your thread to tangle and your bobbin to jam.
  3. Change needles regularly (after 16 hours of use) as dull/weak needles can cause damage to your machine and fabric. Only use SINGER needles on your SINGER sewing machine.
  4. Always be sure you are using the correct bobbin for your machine. Class 66, Class 15 and Class 15J bobbins look very similar. However, using the incorrect bobbin class in your machine can cause damage.

What do I do my husqvarna rose beeps when start to sew in the display window the presser foot flashes what's wrong?

It thinks the presser foot is in the up position. Will need to be repaired by experienced service tech (preferably a certified Viking service tech). There is a clamp that may just be out of place or it could be more involved. Good luck.

Turned machine on, started to sew(about 4"), machine beeped, screen started flashing off & on, then it went off. Will not restart. Tried a new cord and that wasn't the problem

Look at your seam. If you have a bunch of balled up thread underneath the seam, part of the problem is operator error. Always always grasp the thread end while beginning the seam. I suspect that the thread gut bunched up under the material and caught up in the bobbin/shuttle area.

Remove the fabric, unplug the machine... get into the bobbin area, remove the bobbin, and if necessary clean threads caught up in the bobbin race/shuttle. reassemble and replace the bobbin... turn on the machine. Try again.

My singer curvy starts beeping and lights flashing and won't sew

I just got mine to stop flashing lights and function again when I unplugged the cords from the machine and let it sit for a minute. You can always give that a try.

Hello, I have a Brother NX200-Innovis computerized sewing machine. It was sewing like a dream when all of a sudden it slowed down and beeped and flashed "E6" . The balance wheel has completely...

turn the sewing machine completely off
rethread the machine the top thread & bobbin, if possible use a different spool of thread for top & bobbin
then turn the sewing machine on again & see if you still get the same message, if the same message still displays,,then it needs to be serviced

Machine will stitch for a few stitches and then stop and beep.

Your problem is most likely that you've run out of bobbin thread (or about to and the bobbin thread is now loose around the bobbin), your top thread is broken/about to break, or you have a birds' nest (a messy knot of thread) forming underneath the fabric/presser foot and/or within the feed dog. Upon occasion, it's a false alarm. Remove the fabric from the machine and clip your threads. If your bobbin and top thread are fine, place your fabric back in and start sewing again. If you get the stop and beep again and the threads remain unbroken, try rethreading both the top thread and the bobbin. Should you still get the alarm, hit the button to start and see if it resolves itself after a couple of tries. If it doesn't, afraid you have a problem I haven't encountered yet. But so far, the above steps have always resolved the problem for me in the last 6 years.

Machine beeps and stops sewing, no error message displayed

sounds like not through the tension plate (on top) right... rethread and make sure you hold the thread taunt toward you as you putt through top tension... you should hear a slight click and some resistance...
