The washer wasnt used for a couple of months. When I plugged it in the washer lights came on and went off again right away and wont turn back on. I've checked the common sense things like the fuse box and the plug in works. The cord is connected tightly to the unit. Is there a reset button or a fuse in the panel I'm not seeing? The washer worked fine until now. Please Help!!

There is a thermo couple that keeps the gas on. The pilot light bracket has a small screen where the gas comes through that can get clogged and cause the pilot light to burn away from the thermo couple which would cause it to think the flame has went out and shut the gas off. Or the thermo couple has went bad itself. If you try cleaning the screen use canned air and gently blow it through the orfice once you have taken it off. If you don't know what a thermo couple is or looks like here's a picture of a generic one that will give you an idea. Usually there's a bracket that holds this in place.
Have you replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs and wires? A plugged fuel filter will cause a fuel pump to go bad because it works harder to pump. It also may cause less pressure. Plugs, wires cap and rotor will cause lack of power and fail you on a load if they haven't been replaced for a while.
Inspect and clean the MAFsensor located in the intakt duct. It measures the air density and vvelocity of air and communicates with the computer for proper fuel ratio provision. It can be cleaned with CRC electrical cleaner spray. Do Not rub, brus, or otherwise touch thhe sensor. Just wash thoroughly and ley air dry. No compressed air. Good luck, Ned.
