No signal mean that vga signal from cpu is not coming to it or may be this is a cable breakage relavant to signal from cpu.
2ndly, the matter of computer shuts down is out of sense because this kind of problem doent happens at this case.
check ur vga card, if it is seperately installed on motherboard.
the other thing that u can do is that;

unplug all the cables of data relavant to hdd, cd, dvd and anyothers and then switch on ur pc. hope it should work if anything is not wrong with the motherboad and ram, including vga

CyberPower PC HDMI port not working after power outage

This fault could be caused by a lot of things. First you should check your power supply. A tester is available for only a few quid. and it is easy to use. Also check your RAM.If you have a different display port (VGA,DVI etc.) on your tower then try getting a signal from that. This will tell you if the computer has failed or if it is only the HDMI port or Graphics card.

When i on my desktop it show blue screen and says no signal analog

That means that the monitor is not getting a signal from the computer. There are several possible issues involved. 1) Make sure that the computer tower is on. 2) Check that the video cable is connected to the active port on the desktop. (Computers often have video connections on the motherboard and an added video card. The motherboard connection is disabled when the video card is active. Similarly if there are several ports (VGA, DVI, HDMI, Display port) only one may be active.) 3) Try a new video cable (if possible) and one of the other video ports (again if possible). 4) Try connecting a different monitor to the computer or connecting this monitor to another computer.

Open up the computer and check if the card requires a separate power connection to the power supply. Make sure it is plugged in. Do the fans in the computer spin up?

If a second monitor doesn't work or the monitor works on another computer, then the problem is with the video adapter on the computer, the power supply or the power switch. Please add a comment with more information about the type of desktop and the current video graphics adapter (on the motherboard or separate card). I will provide additional help if possible.

Cindy Wells
(who has a computer in the company that needed a new monitor (power supply failed) a few months ago and lost the fan on the video card last week. Without the fan, the card overheated and shut down. Thus no signal to the monitor.)

I have a emachines amd athlon 64/ 512mb memory / 160gb hadr drive dessk top. when i turn it on the monitor displays no signal and goes off. ihear the prossessor motor running constantly which normally goes...

Please check the cable that connects the monitor to the video card. Reseat the cable, the issue might be a loose connection. You can also try a known good monitor to isolate if it's the video card or monitor that is causing the problem. Something is preventing the monitor from receiving signals from the video card, hence the "no signal" message.

My gateway 420GR desktop will power on but on the monitor only display no input signal. The PC will also not turn off at the power switch.

Sounds like the power button on your monitor is not on, is the light on the monitor yellow and dim or bright when you start the computer? Make sure the monitor is on. If you hold the power switch in for about 10 seconds the power will turn off. But that is not the recommended way to shut your computer down. Use your start button and log off or close that way. Good Luck.

Computer monitor comes on for 1 seconds, flashes "analog power save mode" and then goes black.

Most monitors will say "Power save mode" when they can tell through residual voltage that the signal lead is plugged into a machine, but there's no picture being transmitted. The four states of a monitor are:

* Off entirely.
* Switched on, plugged into a computer but no video signal being received - usually displays "analog power save mode" or "digital power save mode" for a few seconds, then blanks. Comes back to life the moment a video signal is received. This state is the default in full power saving mode.
* Switched on, not plugged into a computer. Some monitors don't display anything, some go into power saving mode, some fly "CHECK SIGNAL CABLE" or a similar message around the screen. Picture is restored when the signal cable is plugged back into the computer
* On fully, receiving an image, and displaying.

Hope this helps.

HP desktop monitor problem

hi try this ,,,
  1. Ensure the video cable is connected (and connected to the correct video port).
  2. Turn off the monitor using the monitor's power button and then restart the monitor.
  3. Cycle the power on the monitor as follows:
  4. Turn off the monitor. The power light on the monitor should be off. Leave the computer turned on.
  5. Unplug the power cord.
  6. Wait 5 seconds.
  7. Plug in the power cord.
  8. Press the power button on the monitor to turn on the monitor. One of two things happens:
    1. The image from the computer displays on the monitor and you can use the computer again. This indicates that the monitor was unable to detect that the computer had awakened from suspend mode. Turn the monitor off when it is not being used or disable suspend mode. For some computers, updating the BIOS corrects these types of suspend problems.
    2. The power light on the monitor comes on but the screen displays one of the messages again. The monitor is not receiving a video signal from the computer that it can detect and use. Continue using these steps to adjust the Windows display resolution to the Monitor's native (default) resolution
    3. Connect the monitor to another computer that you know is working to determine if the monitor should be serviced or replaced:
      • If the monitor displays an image from another computer, you know that the monitor works. Troubleshoot the video connection and graphics adapter on the computer.
      • If the monitor remain blank when connected to another computer, the monitor signal processing hardware may be bad. The monitor should be repaired or replaced.
hope it will work for u .. little_angel

PC or monitor, signal problems

your monitor is telling you it's on it's last legs..either that or your compaq has a bad video section. either is more vital than a video cable being loose.
