Oster 2 lb. EXPRESSBAKE: clicking sound while the kneading

My 2 lb. EXPRESSBAKE Breadmaker is making clicking sounds at every turn of the kneading blade. Everything else seems to be OK. Clicking started out of the blue and does not go away. What can I do?

Brand new out of the box, seated everything as necessary, unit clicks but does not turn motor connection to paddle. No spin at all going on.

Most likely you need a new band I believe you can order one for $12.95 You need to remove the bottom panel and check the band first.

Kneading blade comes off during breadmaking process

Yes, if the blade come off then your bread is not going to mix and knead properly. The blades on all makers are designed to slip on and off though so you can remove them for cleaning etc. Be sure you are pushing the paddle all the way on. If it still comes off when mixing that would be very odd as the weight of the dough ball itself helps keep paddles on. I have owned dozens of machines by different manufacturers and never had a paddle come off in process.

My breadmaker makes a clicking sound when started but does not knead.

That is normal. It is warming up and that is the clicking sound you hear. It should start after a few minutes (less than 30 minutes is normal).

I have a Welbilt ABM 4000. When I try to use it on any setting, the timing counts down but the machine makes a clicking sound and the paddle does not move.

If the ambient temp is below ideal some machines will heat up a little first before kneading. The clicking sound is the sound that all the machines make as they start to heat up. As long as it starts kneading within 15-20 minutes everything is OK.

The driver that operates the kneading blade ( paddle) is falling out of the baking pan from the bottom. It appears a washer has disintegrated. Pieces seemed to fall apart when cleaning. any suggestions? I...

Hi,
There is a sealed bearing at the bottom of the pan. This allows the paddle to rotate. The bearing has failed and is falling apart. This usually happens with age or use. Time for a new bread pan. If you are lucky you can find one on ebay. Sorry for the bad news....Hank

Kneading blade stays in the bread

I had that problem with my Zoji breadmaker. I sprayed a little non-stick spray on the blad and it worked. You can also spray the pan.
