Question about Motorola Talkabout T5700 AA (22 Channels) 2-Way Radio

1 Answer

I get static after someone else talks

I work at a camp and we have a bunch of Motorola Talkabout radios. Some of them have static issues. I have one now that after anyone else is done talking my radio keeps open to the channel and just gives loud static from the speaker.

One of the main causes of static can be a bad battery. If you are using rechargeable batteries you need to replace them every 14-18 months. If you are using alkaline batteries, they have been known not to fully power the radio once your cross the 10 hour mark. Your radio would then be operating in somewhat of a brown out. This would lead to static.

Another cause of static is simply being nearly out of range of the other radio(s).

The burst of white noise at the end of Rx on some radios can be rather annoying. On the basic talkabout radios there is nothing which can be done to solve the problem, other than replacing the radio.

Why does the myzone headset we purchased not work, as the red light will not turn on?

Not sure how old this unit is but you need to check your battery connections for crud.

If the battery's have been leaking or the terminals are corroded it will not power up. I beleave that unit takes rechargeable batterys.

Start button on dishwasher not working

Question Does other buttons work on display if so then you have a display problem with start button and it needs to be replaced.
If not then you can either still have a display problem or wire issue or bad main board. If you know about testing electronics ok if not call 1800 Samsung for help if it is there unit.

Motorola S805 headset worked fine with T60 laptop

Solution I found with the same devices is to properly par the devices.

Refer http://direct.motorola.com/ens/s805/QuickstartGuide.pdf

It basically states :

1.Ensure the headphones are turned off (L indicator light not blinking).
2.Press and hold L button. After about 6 seconds, the L indicator light becomes steadily lit.
3.Release the L button. The L indicator light remains steadily lit.

If the L indicator light is flashing or not steadily lit, repeat steps 1 through 3

Now on the T60:

Search for Bluetooth Devices as you would normally.
The T60 lists Bluetooth devices it finds.
Select Motorola S805.
Select OK or Yes to pair your headphones
with your phone.
Enter the passkey: 0000
Select OK.
When your headphones successfully pair
with your phone, the L indicator light
changes from steadily lit to rapidly flashing.

That's it next time you start a audio program on T60 output will be sent to Motorola Headphones
