I have SAMSUNG LCD 943 MWX monitor which is 19" wide screen. The best screen resolution is 1440X900. Recently I got a problem in that particular resolution(Improper screen i.e., blur Effect, stretched screen). I changed the resolution with various values from 800X600 to1280X960, but nothing suits perfect. So I gave it to my nearest SAMSUNG service center(on 1.17.2011). They told me"BOARD PROBLEM and we will replace it". After a long time, today (2.18.2011) I got my Monitor back. When checking it in my home I can see the screen resolution ranging from 800X600 to 2048X1536, but the particular resolution 1440X900 is missing. PLEASE FIND ME A SOLUTION so that I can use my previous, good resolution(1440X900). thank you and regards from prakash.

SOURCE: I have SAMSUNG LCD 943 MWX monitor which is 19"

This is not a monitor problem. This is a mother board problem, some mother boards are supporting this resolution. For this problem, you have to replace the mother board or put the graphics card on the same mother board.your problem will solve.

Which is the best screen resolution for lg flatron l177wsb with a windows 7

According to LG's webpage on that particular L177 series of monitors, its maximum resolution is 1440x900. Hence, you can have max resolution of 1440x900, which is off course the best available with this LCD.

I recently purchased and installed the P191W monitor, and now my pictures are stretched. I was told I new to get a new graphics card. What card should I get? Or can I just update the driver? I am running...

Find your monitor's native resolution, in your case it's 1440x900. Go to display settings (usually right-click on desktop and choose properties), go to settings tab and move the resolution slider until it shows 1440x900. Confirm, the screen should flicker for a moment and adjust - and you should be fine.
If there is no 1440x900 resolution available, then installing a monitor .inf file that came on a disk accompanying the monitor might help.

Monitor resolution

Hello,

What do you mean that you were unable to get the native resolution of 1440x900? Are you saying that the resolution varries?

Since you mentioned that the mother board supports 1440x900, try to set the monitor resolution to that same resolution and then restart the computer.

If you will get the same problem, you have to make sure that the video card supports 1440x900 resolution.

No 1440X900 Resolution Option in Display Settings

Windoze is not detecting the monitor correctly. Right click the desktop as you had before to get to the display settings. Click the "advanced" button at the lower right, on the next window, click the "Monitor" tab, and remove the check from the box from "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display". That should add to the settings the 1400 X 900 resolution you are looking for.

1440x900 resolution required

check and make sure that you are using the Intel drivers and not the default windows xp drivers. The default drivers are very limited and only offer a few different resolutions to choose from.

Images on monitor are enlongated

Is the resolution set to the monitor's native resolution? Your video card must support the monitor's true resolution, this is particularly important with wide-screen LCD monitors.
