Hi. My new tchibo coffee maker won't brew the large sized coffee, instead only giving me about a tablespoon in my cup. The other sizes work fine. Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear that your Tchibo coffee maker is not brewing the large size coffee properly. Here are a few suggestions that might help:
  1. Check the water level in the water tank. If the water level is too low, the machine may not be able to brew the large size coffee.
  2. Make sure that the coffee filter is properly inserted into the filter holder. If the filter is not inserted properly, the machine may not be able to brew the large size coffee.
  3. Clean the coffee maker. The coffee maker may be clogged, which can prevent it from brewing the large size coffee properly. You can clean the coffee maker with a mild detergent and water.
  4. Descale the coffee maker. If the coffee maker is not descaled regularly, it can build up calcium deposits, which can prevent it from brewing the large size coffee properly. You can descale the coffee maker with a descaling solution.
If you have checked all of these things and the large size coffee is still not brewing properly, then you may need to contact Tchibo customer support for further assistance.
Here are some additional tips that might help:
  • Use fresh, cold water. Stale or warm water can affect the taste of the coffee.
  • Use a good quality coffee. Cheap coffee beans can make the coffee taste bitter.
  • Grind the coffee beans to a medium-coarse grind. A too fine grind can make the coffee taste bitter, while a too coarse grind can make the coffee taste weak.
  • Clean the coffee maker regularly. A dirty coffee maker can make the coffee taste bitter.
I hope these suggestions help!

We've had a Cuisinart DCC-2000 coffee maker for less than a year: 1) it stops brewing about halfway through the brewing cycle (with plenty of water still in the reservoir, and 2) the "Clean" light

This problem is caused by a clogged water filter in the unit.

Unplug the coffee maker.

Open the top panel where you normally pour in the water and set the coffee filter.

Gently pull up on the tap that sticks up in the back left corner of the open top. This will free a long plastic part that has a compartment at the bottom that contains a filter filled with charcoal.

Unsnap the small compartment that holds the filter and clean it gently under running water with light brushing.

If there is a lot of coffee build-up, the water chamber where you normally pour in fresh water needs to be cleaned out. Pour in a cup of water and invert the unit over a large sink pouring out the water through the opening you normally use to fill the unit.

Repeat this until you remove the coffee grounds.

Let the unit dry fully before plugging in to run again.

The light is on to clean it and I do not have an owner's manual. Can you please explain? How do I get the light to stop blinking?

Most coffee makers are cleaned by filling the reservoir with undiluted white vinegar (3 cups). (Do not add coffee.) Remove the water filtration disk if you use it before starting. Then start the brew cycle as if making a cup of coffee (including putting a paper filter or the permanent filter in the filter basket and close the lid). Put a decanter on the warming plate. After brewing, turn off the coffee maker and let stand for 30 minutes. Run another cup of vinegar through the coffee maker. Take the decanter filled with vinegar and discard the liquid (pour down the sink drain). Rinse the decanter. Fill the reservoir with clean water and put in a new paper filter (or clean the permanent filter and put it back). Again do not add coffee. Run a brew cycle to rinse the unit. Discard the water that is in the decanter after the brew cycle. Do a second clean water only brew cycle (with new empty paper filter or permanent filter after cleaning again). However, if you notice an odd taste, repeat the rinse cycle.

You can alternatively use the Mr. Coffee Coffee Maker Cleaner (mix as directed on that package). In either case, this removes mineral deposits (calcium from hard water). For soft water, the cleaning should be done every 80 brew cycles. If you have hard water, do this every 40 cycles.

The manual is available from www.mrcoffee.com/Product.aspx?pid=121 , if I have the correct product version. For some reason this site isn't coming up for me today. Check the manual to find out if there is any specific details for cleaning that aren't shared with other Mr. Coffee products.

I hope this helps.

KeurigB50 Coffee Maker will not brew. Gets to the

1. Power off machine.

2. Using a metal paperclip, insert it into left side of top needle. It must insert at least 1" deep. Insert it into slot on right side and again from back of needle.

3. Remove KCup cradle. Separate bottom from top. In the top section, insert the paperclip up into bottom needle from the bottom upwards. It will not go all the way thru and this is normal.

4. Reassemble KCup cradle and reinsert it back into coffee maker.

5. Power on machine.

6. Brew a cup of water only. There may be coffee grounds in the water and these should eventually clear during the remaining steps. NOTE: A large cup brew cycle should output a full 8 ounces (235cc). Less means there is still a blockage

7. Empty reservoir and fill with undiluted distilled white vinegar. Repeatedly run brewing cycle until Add Water light comes on.

8. Make sure Auto-OFF is NOT set and let last cycle of vinegar remain inside machine for 4 hours.

9. Refill reservoir with fresh water and repeatedly run brewing cycle until the water is clear and odorless.

10. Set Auto-OFF, if preferred.

Brews coffee at twice the time beeps done when still brewing

Time to run a mixture of white vinegar and cold water (about 1 to 6 ratio) through. Use a clean filter for this. When done, turn off power and let cool down, then return the mixture to the water chamber and run it again. Do this one more time, then pour out the wash and let the unit cool down. Pour in fresh cold water and run through. Do it again--you should by now be getting the rapid brewing (no coffee yet) that you had before. After the second rinse, make the coffee with a fresh filter. Note all the scale in the previous filter that has come through in the cleaning process.

How to clean the kitchenaid java express coffee maker

The Coffee Maker can be descaled using
a packaged descaling agent or vinegar.
Always mix the descaling solution using
cool water.
• When using a descaling agent, follow
the directions on the package for the
recommended amounts of descaling
agent and water to use.
• When using vinegar, fill the carafe with
a solution consisting of 1⁄2 vinegar and
1⁄2 water.
Descaling Steps:
1. Before descaling, always remove the
water filter (see “Installing the Ion-
Exchange Water Filter” on page 7) and
make sure the brew basket contains
no coffee or coffee filters.
2. Run the Coffee Maker through a
complete brewing cycle using a full
carafe of the descaling solution.
3. If the cleaning needed indicator lights
after the brewing cycle is complete,
repeat Step 2 using fresh descaling
solution. Keep repeating Step 2 until
the cleaning needed indicator no
longer lights after brewing.
4. Rinse the Coffee Maker by running
it through two brewing cycles using a
full carafe of fresh, cool water
each time.
5. Wash the brew basket in hot, soapy
water and rinse with hot water. This
part can also be washed in the upper
rack of the dishwasher.
6. Reinstall or replace the water filter.
Replace the filter every three months
under normal usage, or more often
with heavy use.

Cuisinart coffee maker won't brew

Here is the basic troubleshooting for the Cuisinart coffee makers:
Make sure all baskets are in proper place – especially if unit is beeping.
Do not use a paper and a gold-tone or other permanent filter at the same time.
Unplug for LONGER THAN 15 full minutes to reset.
Clean by brewing 2 oz of distilled white vinegar/2 oz water.
If these methods fail, the unit probably requires replacement – call Cuisinart as they have a longer-than-standard warranty.
