SOURCE: Duct from freezer to frig is blocked with ice, frig warm

give the unit a full defrost then unblock the drain hole. it sounds like the tiny defrost heater element may not be working and is therefore causing excess frost to build up on the freezer evaporator. also check door seals are not holled anywhere.

SOURCE: leaking water

Look at your door gaskets. If they ain't kosher then excessive humidity will build into the frig.

SOURCE: we have condensation inside our frig

Same water leak. Just ordered valve water assembly. I observed it for three days water dripping from the valve water assembly. I hope to install it today and observe again. I will also try to clear up any ice on the drain pipe to the drain pan at the bottom underneath the fridge.

You probably have a defrost problem -accumulation of frost on the freezer back panel. check for frost first then ask additional questions.
if no frost exist, check the condenser motor under the fridge and also clean the coils.

Internal unit is leaking water

Check condensate tubes - they may be blocked and need cleaning. All manufactures recommend having your furnace and air conditioner checked and cleaned on an anual basis. You can clean your condensate tubes yourself - if it is severly blocked you may have to use compressed air to unblock, but first to a combination of bleach and water. Better yet a technician will clean the condensate tubes and well as the rest of the unit so that it's running at its top efficiency

My LG Model LRTN18320WW is leaking water inside frig. on bottom below produce drawer. has occurred since summer. what is solution?

Drain in freezer compartment is plugged.
Mold (fungus) buildup sometimes restricts water flowing into condensate tube in the defrost cycle, and water somehow can enter in the refrigerator compartment and out the bottom of the refrigerator door.
You must clean the condensate tube!
You must remove back cover in freezer. One screw in left upper corner behind plastic screw plug will allow you to remove the cover exposing evapourator coil and condensate drain tube hole below it. Must also remove back cover at rear of refrigerator exposing the condensate drain tube END which may be restricted also.Tube must be totally cleared to allow the water created from defrost cycle to exit to the drain pan in the bottom of the refrigerator.

My older KA Ref Model KTRP20K & M is giving off a strong odor similar to iodine. Very strong in AM but can still smell it in PM. I've checked for spoilage and nothing there. Any thoughts? Is it time...

since it is working ok . i am wondering if you dont have mold growing in the drip pan ... condensation from inside the refrigerator goes down a small tube in the back bottom of the frig ... that tube goes to a pan under the refrigerator and normally the water just evaporates .. if there is a lot of condensate from the frig then the pan may stay wet long enough for mold to get established ... a large amount of condensate from the frig usually indicates a leaky seal around the door .. or a door that doesnt close completely .. you might want to clean everything under the frig including any fans, coils and that pan (unplug first) ... now this all assumes that the smell is coming from the outside not inside the refrigerator .. if the smell is inside then you may have to defrost and clean the evaporator (the coils inside the freezer (somtimes also in the refrigerator) ... there are some kinds of mold that actually grow in that cold environment .. some hot soapy water with a little bleach usually does the job .. or if you have one, a steam cleaner, those do great .. it allows you to get down in the little places and clean everything ... make sure the frig is at room temp first so plastic doesnt crack ..
the refrigerant r22 or r134a have very little smell so even if you had a leak it wouldnt smell strong .. a few refrigerators use ammonia and that would have a distinctive smell easily recognized if there was a leak .

Water leaks from under the middle but not all the time maybe once or twice per month

condensation normally drains thru a tube at the bottom of the frig to a drip pan under the condenser coil (under the frig) .. the water normally just evaporates from the pan .. if there is too much moisture in the frig, that usually means a door is ajar (not closing completely) or the seal on the door is not sealing properly .. warm moist air from the room getting in will cause too much condensation .. the drip pan may overflow ... you should check the drip pan for damage (clean the condenser while you are down there) .. also check the tube that carries the condensation (back bottom of the frig) .. it has a one way valve (lets water out only) that becomes stuck sometimes and needs cleaning.. if there is a large amount of moist things in the frig then that an cause the problem as well .. just put those things in plastic bags or containers to eliminate that problem ..

GE Side-by-Side Fridge only gets slightly cool at highest setting. Won't freeze water.

Have you cleaned the condenser under the frig?
While you are looking there look to see if the condenser fan is running with the compressor.
If the condenser has been blocked for very long or and the fan is not working there is a good chance that that the compressor is bad. Just clean the condenser and hope for the best.

LEAKING ON THE INSIDE OF THE HOUSE

There is an outlet to allow condensed water to flow outside the house from the AC unit runs. Please check whether there is any dust block in the tube and once you clean it water will flow out and not into the house. Sometime the garden lizard or flycatcher could get into the drain pipe and got stuck and block the outflow of condensed water.

Please ensure that the window air conditioner is installed in such a manner the out side portion of the unit is slanted or tilted to the back so that the water will run out and not into the room. By providing some pad to the front portion of the unit the above could be achieved and condensed water will not flow into the room.

GE refrigerator tfx27zp or 25zp or 22zp not sure.

The drip pan is located under the front of the frig.
FIX
open both doors, remove the panel that is across the bottom of the fridge( there are release tabs over the left and right front corner areas close to the hing sides

after removing the panel you should see a tray that slides on rails under the fridge

remove the panel and inspect to see (use a flash light)if you can see the drain tube

I believe your drain tube is freezing up somewhere inside the frig

If you can determine where this drain tube fishes up through the back inside wall of the frig

remove all of the trays and observe the back panels there should be some type of collector tray

near the frig light Some models have a hot bulb to do the defrost

I suggest that you tun frig off with both doors open take a hair dryer and blow hot air where you think the drain is located to melt any ice and look down in the drain pan to see if it starts draining

Hope this helps

Good luck ( ps cal ge customer service and give model number I bet they have a design poblem

If they do they may have a work around

God Luck
