I have a Toshiba 42 in HD Plasma TV, model 42HP95, and the sound is now really low. It was just fine, now I have to turn it up to 70 to even hear it, and when i do that there is a buzzing sound. What is wrong and do I need to get a tv repairman or new tv?

Do you have a cable box with volume buttons? If so, try turning up the volume on the cable box. Just a hunch.

replace the lamp on your TV, but only replace it with PHILLIPS brand. Anything other than that, will not last. We just replaced ours with Phillips and the picture is much brighter. It really shows the HD quality of the tv.

I have a JVC plasma tv 42 inch. When I turn it on nothing shows up and the power button just blinks

Sounds like your power supply adapter, which is inside the back of your television, has gone out. If your tv is still under warranty, should be quick, free fix. If not, could cost upwards of a few hundred dollars to have it serviced.

My 42" rear projection tv wil not turn on worked fine yesterday came home today tried to turn it on and you can hear it click inside and then the red light under "timer" just blinks i was wondering what...

I was handed the same model the other day. You're Lucky it clicks. The one I have is completely dead. I will give you an idea to try. Unplug your TV set......for a few days. Find someone who has acess to a variac transformer....And see if your tv will come on at about 70 volts...Somewhere less than 90 volts. If it will powerup, you will need the powerline regulator replaced. Part# STR X6459. I will purchase one for the tv I have and see if this will correct my problem.

Sounds like a bad tuner/decoder on the Qam analog side of things. You can bypass this with a Clear qam converter box or a analog to digital tuner box or simply having this repaired upwards of $200 bucks.

Hi I bought a Panasonic 42 Inch class 720P Plasma HDTV TH-42PX80U, the picture is fine, but there is a humming sound in the background of the audio. The louder I turn the tv the louder the hum. I tried...

If turning up the audio amplifies the problem, it is in the initial stages of audio. It could very likely be outside the TV, try difference sources to troubleshoot your setup. If it hums on all inputs, the problem is before your audio switch and could be on the board with the AV jacks. Note all plasma tvs hum out of the back of the tv (ie power board, y-sus, z-sus board and panel all make a little hum noise)

It seems to me that you are watchin an analog signal on a digital HD TV, the analog signal is has a standard resolution of 720x576 for NTSC (American Signal) and 720x480 for PAL (European Signal).

It could be worth to go contact your cable company, they can hook you up with a digital receiver which gives a better signal and might even have a HD Signal (this means it has a HD-Ready 1280x720 of Full HD 1920x1080 resolution).

If you really want to use your LCD TV on his max this is really worth considering
