Refrigerator water / moisture

Our refrigerator always has water on the shelves and in the drawers I can not figure out why we do not have the ice maker even hooked up and we have tried to adjust the settings but no luck it is only about 4 years old.

My fridge pools a lot of water in the lower bins or in the bottom of the fridge if I take the bins out when I am absent from my vacation house. It is a real nuisance. I am not using the icemaker. Someone suggests that I need to tilt the refrigerator forwards so air can escape from behind it. I find it hard to believe that this would make a difference inside the fridge. Why does Sears not have good technical staff available to help answer these type of "common" questions.

Actually sounds like a clogged drain tube, issue, your drain water instead of being routed down the frozen tube, is overflowing into the frig section, yoiull need to remove the back panel of the freezer, locate the drain hole, and defrost it

Check if the doors seal properly and do not put any hot food into the fridge.
This is always caused from condensation.
You can also try to set the thermostat a bit up, or if it has a timer, set the timers defrost bit lower.
also test if the de frost heaters is turning of when the compressor starts.

Good luck....

Why is bottom drawer of refrigerator freezing shut

You have a clogged drain in the freezer from the defrost system. You will need to clear out all the ice, remove the rear wall and clear the drain under the evaporator as well. Failure to remove all the ice from the drain system will cause this issue to return. Good Luck

Water is collecting at the bottom of the refrigerator under the drawers

You may have a bad gasket, which is allowing moisture laden air to be sucked into the refrigerator. The moisture then condenses on the walls / shelving, and finds its way to the bottom.

Freezer does not maintain temperature/moisture in freezer

The door seals are letting air in or the seal at the ice dispenser has gone bad and is letting outside(hot) air in and it is the cause of the moisture.

Water puddles under the drawers

You have a blocked defrost drain look at item 56  in this picture. you need to clear this drain either with hot water or clear ice that may have accumulated in the trough. to me it looks as if there is possibly a cover over this area so you will need to remove drawers and shelves to get to it. message me back here with any comments or questions.. You can fix this yourself!! thanks Peyton 10058779-00002.png

Water on the bottom shelf of the Refridgerator

Has the refrigerator got a wet inner back?
Ff this is wet, adjust it until this solid ice 'blobs', bt not encrusted, like in a freezer
The refrigerator may not be cool enough and the natural warm moisture allowed into the cool compartment when the door is open is condensing into fluid before it is cooling sufficiently to suspend the moisture as a vapour. If the cool compartment is cool enough, any warm air admitted ill be chilled before it is allowed to condense, keeping the refridgerator dry.
However, the only drawback is that you will have to monitor it to prevent the build up of excesive ice.
Also, whether the refridgerator is either empty of full willaffe the day to day operation.
Hope this helps.

open the freezer compartment loo for ice build up on floor of frezer especally towards rear behind back panel. sounds like you have a clogged/frozen defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you acess to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somwhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials)

Make sure the door is closing properly, that nothing is trapped in the door seal, and that the seal isn't torn or distorted. The seals are there to stop moist external air getting in then dropping its load of moisture as it cools. A.
