I would recommend a Dell XPS. They have the 2ghz duo core processor, 4g ram, Intel x3100 acceleration with HD video/graphics card, and a STAC AC97 sound card. This is more than enough machine to keep you in the WOW anywhere for years. These run anywhere from $800 to $1000. Well worth the money.

How can you save your laptop from black screen problem?

Nowadays we came across many black screen problem happen to most of the branded laptop like hp, compaq, dell etc. A black screen problem happens when the inbuilt graphic chip of laptop got fail due to the rise in temperature. So, in order to take precaution for this kind of issue, follow my advice i.e
1) Always Keep your Laptop in the plain surface to allow air to flow freely inside the laptop.
2) If you play heavy games then keeping your laptop in the plain surface is mandatory.
3) Never keep your laptop in your bed.

My advice can be followed for other brand laptop

Cursor on brand new ( bought yesterday at PC World) keeps freezing.

Are you using the touch-pad or an external mouse? If you are using the touch-pad then hook up an external mouse probably the mouse was not compatible with your system. Did you browse the web lately? Probably you have acquired a virus while surfing. You could scan your system with a known good anti-virus or download and burn a bootable Cd version of it in other system if you can no longer use your laptop. Did you drop your laptop? Probably the hard drive was going to a slow breakdown.

HP Pavilion Quick touch Problem

DUDE, i have the exact problem with my laptop. I actually find myself keeping my finger posed above the mute button as well, it's ridiculous. Might be fluke, but after dowloading this software, i played an entire youtube video without it muting itself. You could try it, here's a link: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-62436-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=2093&product=3795469
