Question about Vivitar ViviCam 4345 Digital Camera
This may sound silly, but you did put KNOWN good new batteries in? I have had several problems with my 4345 and they are all battery related. My theory is that when the camera is first turned on there is a lot of juice drawn from the batteries (electronics, lens cover). Unless you use really topgrade batteries (=expensive) they just can't supply the peak current. The bargain 8 for a quid packs are very variable - some are fine, others give up the ghost within minutes :-(
About the only good news is that "old" batteries, discarded from the camera, go on to provide good service in radios, clocks, CD players etc.!
